15% off Travel Insurance with SCTI Ends 15th Aug

140
15OFF

Got an email today saying 'we want to reward our loyal customers with 15% off the normal price'.

Not sure if it's targeted but assuming it's not, but with something such as travel insurance I'd be a bit hesitant in using it, but thought I would post anyway. Says press add promo key and enter the code 15OFF when you go to buy.

I've obviously used them before and find them quite reasonable but the true test is making a claim which I've luckily never had to do. Heard many good things about them though.

  • Seems cheap!

  • Nice, thanks OP! $50 cheaper than TID!

    • TID is about double the price for me. 3 times the price if you compare their annual option with a long trip. Am I doing something wrong?

  • cant reduce the excess to 0 ??

  • I've made a few minor claims with scti and experienced no problems at all.

    • Even major claims (eg getting shot in the stomach whilst holidaying in South America) was a breeze too… no, it wasn't me. I was told SCTI took care of everything, only thing you had to worry about was recovering.

But the option of $0 excess from TID is hard to beat, even if it's slightly more…

  • Does it worth buying when tickets come with Amex Platinum Edge travel insurance?

  • +1

they've received a LOT of "excellent" reviews in the past two months… all from one off users…

  • How long is this valid for? I wonder if I should wait to see if TID comes up with anything to match.
