Welcome to easy portable cooking with the EcoHeat Power Lite Portable Induction Cooktop! With precise German engineering, it is the perfect cooktop to take out on the road with you in the RV or caravan weighing only 1.5kg. It's tough enough to withstand all the bumps on the road and portable and flexible with different power options. Unlike other portable induction cooktops, the EcoHeat Power Lite Portable Induction Cooktop has the following unique features:

German in-vitro technology (toughened resilient German engineered glass virtually shatter resistant)
Flexible power options
Built-in BBQ setting
Vermin proof slot
Lightweight and portable design, the unit weighs just 1.5kg
Can be used even in a total fire ban
Great for outdoor entertaining areas
Durable and tough, suitable for camping and adventure travel with power source available.
Ecoheat Flexipower features 4 built-in variable wattage options. Now you have the versatility of connecting to not only mains power, ie 240 volt, but also to small generators ranging from 500 W, 1 KVA to 2 KVA as well as solar running through a 1000 W pure sine wave inverter. You can cook anywhere, anytime - even during a total fire ban. No other induction cooker can offer this versatility. It's unique heat extraction and air ventilation system enables the use of heavy cast iron barbecue plates to be used on the cooker without fear of internal overheating resulting in circuit board damage like other cookers. We guarantee it!

Vermin Proof Slot - whether at home or on the road, vermin is always a problem, especially around summer time. On the rear of your Ecoheat Flexipower you will notice a slot. It allows you to place vermin pellets or tabs in it. This will keep vermin away, which would otherwise be naturally attracted to the cooker.

The Induction technology is safe, as it keeps the cooking surfaces cool whilst only heating the base of the cookware when the cookware is in direct contact with the cook top. Once the cookware is removed from the cooktop, heat is instantly released. The EcoHeat Power Lite Portable Induction Cooktop can be powered many ways, including solar power and generator power.

Flexipower has 4 built-in wattage options

2000 watts: ideal for home use
1500 watts: ideal for caravan park use
1000 watts: ideal for 1 KVA or greater generator use
500 watts: ideal for solar panel / pure sine wave inverter use
When using generators

< 1KVA generators select 500 watt setting
1 KVA or more select 1000 watt settings.
When using solar power

Requires a minimum 1000 watt pure sine wave inverter. A 1000 watt pure sine wave inverter is required to handle any initial spike usually encountered when an appliance is turned on. Spikes can have a 2-1 ratio. Once the cooker is running, you can adjust wattage back down to 500 w Please note, modified inverters are not compatible with any induction cooker whatsoever, no matter what the wattage.

BBQ Function

Always use this setting when barbecuing. Any reflected heat into the cooker will be extracted by the fan. Always turn the cooker off at the cooker, not the power point when barbecuing. The fan will continue to extract hot air until the circuit board has cooled down then. Then it will shut itself off.

Please let us know if any questions! :-)

    • How good is this? Keen on getting one.

no idea, just went on ebay to search for 2 seconds and Boom. Should be alright if they sold 1,600+ units

        • Ye that's what I thought too if they've sold that many units. Sounds like a fair deal. Spewing I missed the Eurolab deal!!

    • thanks for the find

  • Just to be sure, can you just plug it in to a normal socket

    • Hi James987 - yes, you can plug into a normal socket, it also can run off solar power.
      Thanks!

Make sure you watch the video guys, and read the specs and description

This cooktop is especially designed for RV / caravan / outdoor use with German in-vitro technology (toughened resilient German engineered glass virtually shatter resistant).

Watch the video and see them take a hammer to the cooktop :-)

i don't know anyone that smashes their cooktop on purpose. unless they're out of basil…

      virtually shatter resistant

so… its not actually shatter resistant? :|

take a hammer to the cooktop

that is a rubber mallet not a hammer, it proves absolutely nothing. any kind of toughened glass is designed to resist blunt object force such as this and he hardly even hits the cooker, just lightly taps it.

got any snake oil you wish to sell?

I had to neg your comment over this:

Watch the video and see them take a hammer to the cooktop :-)

He taps the corner of the cooker three times. Right on the edge. lol with a rubber mallet. That goes to show how much confidence he has in the 'virtually shatterproof'-ness of this thing.

I turned off once I saw the guy doing the 'selling'..
Having channel surfed and landed on the shopping channel a couple of times when this guy is on, the amount of half truth, misinformation or misunderstanding of basic technology he comes out with when 'explaining' the products he (or the company he represents) is importing/selling is both impressive and shocking..

In vitro is latin for "in glass" and usually means testing conditions that are different from normal everyday conditions. How does that apply to a cook top? Will it be tough only in labs? Will it burn my bacon and eggs in my home?

      • but its German……

  • I have the 5 Star Chef model from ebay, paid 50$ del. Great little cooker so far, temp settings go 300-400-600-1000-1200-1400-1600-1800-2000. Sure its fan is a little noisy but prob no noiser than the others. I only use 300-400-600-1800 & 2000 settings. As far as suitable for RV/Campervans, I have alot of exp here and have a 1kw SW and 3.6kw sinewave gennies and they run pretty much everything (with the use of a jaycar soft-start unit for heavy machinery ie drop power saws etc), this unit would also run on an inverter as long as you dont power it up over the kw rating of the inverter/genset, but in reality youd be mad to run this thing off any inverter/battery setup… so 4 for the price of 1… hmmm, think I'll be getting another 5Star myself! So handy to have when the gas runs out!

  • Always use this setting when barbecuing. Any reflected heat into the cooker will be extracted by the fan. Always turn the cooker off at the cooker, not the power point when barbecuing. The fan will continue to extract hot air until the circuit board has cooled down then. Then it will shut itself off.

Does this mean that if the power cuts while barbecuing then the circuit board will be fried?

'Can run off solar power' - um no, can run off stored solar (batteries) power with the use of an inverter… and youd be stupid to do this and flatten your batteries that would run all your other equipment for potentially days in just a few minutes!
