Prank on Annoying next door neighbour in an apartment

Rather than making everyone go through massive paragraph of the incident.

Long story short:

We have annoying neighbour who we share laundry facilities with.

• Laundry is included as part of the rent.
• next door wash laundry daily. Little load each time use very long cycle. Also wash bedsheets daily. (Not sure what kinda activity they are engaging in, lol)
• have mentioned a few times to them. They don't care. Esp the high maintenance sassy guy. He doesn't want roster.

We used to wait for them. We now done waiting.

So we started doing the below:

• take out their washing/drying when it's done. (By done I mean when the timer has stopped)
• don't care they have another load on top. We just take out their done clothes and wash ours.
• do laundry in very late hours.
• planned to use delay timer at midnight So when we get up laundry would be done and ready to be dried (so clothes don't stay washed and stays in washer for a long period of time).

We started to hear lots cursing when the guy realised we 'get in the way' of his washing. The guy has shouted some random words at me for no reason, probably trying to intimidate people? Or he's mental. I once shouted d1ckhead to the public area and shut the door really quickly as I heard him cursing at us.

Last night. We set a delay timer for the first time at 1240am. I set it on a washing cycle of 1.2hours as we do have a bit of washing. Washing should start at 7ish done by 9am.

Unsure if I got the setting right. Went back and check. Discovered horror:

• douche took out our washing out to wash his 2 tops 2 undies in a 1.5hrs cycle (I know coz I took it out). It has done his washing half way, which means he would have taken our clothes out 20mins after we left.

• Our clothes were wet - unsure if it has been washed properly. We had to wash it again. Yep took out their stuff like a wet feotus and ditched it in a dirty sink. So we waited our washing and drying and didn't sleep until 330am.

What kinda person takes our peoples half done washing just like that?

I need pranks that won't get trace back to me at all, something legal but fine to walk over the edge of that.

I'm not here for suggestions on how to resolve this. As it will not work. Should seen the guy, a total douche. I don't want to punch him in the face or kick him right in the groin.

So:

• thanks but no thanks. Not gonna ask about roster; the guy rages like a junkie.
• no laundromat. Rent included in laundry, don't want to get partner drive 10km over weekend and wait there wasting time.
• lease is over in few months. Landlord doesn't care. So done talking to landlord.
• off the plan protect might turn into investment hence not buying white goods.

Help me out. Be creative. This whole thing is driving me insane.

In case you are wondering. Yes I put their wet shyt back into the machine. All I did for them was a spin cycle. I don't give a crap if it's still bubbly! I'm done being civil!

For the people who rolled their eyes after reading it. Sorry for being an eye-sore. actually I am not sorry at all

I know quite a few of you have suggested buying a washing machine. It would be my last resort. Simply due to the reasons below:

• We have an off the plan property settling soon - yes, we are unable to get the measurement of a lot of things even though the settlement date could be happening any time in the next few months. It could be because the agents are just being lazy that now they are guaranteed with the commission, they cbf asking the developer.
• With the renting ads explicitly stated laundry facility is included. I don't believe any of you would just rub your nose and go buy your own washer or drive to the next suburb's laundromat.
• Setting the machine up in my unit - this place is tiny. It would have to sit right in the middle of the room. Lol. Also I guarantee we will get calls from landlord complaining power, gas and water usage. The landlord has done it before. It was not a very pleasant chat. For people who cook/shower at home almost 85% of the time, gas bill of $60 for a months, I do not think that is over the top.

I am hoping things will get better for us now we are going to be rude pricks. I wish there is a line I can call up and complain about their water wastage.
Neighbours are pr1cks, there are so many other things they do indicated they are a waste of this earth space. However, we are just ordinary people who like to wear clean clothes as well. :)

Anyways, I am not going to reply to each of you now. I just wanted to thank you all for all the help/feedback.

Hey guys, first time posting in forum. Please be nice to me by suggesting how do I deal with the currently annoying situation I am in. Thank you in advance.

Just some background on the property:

• I'm currently renting with my partner.
• our purchased property is about to settle in a few months time.
• we are currently sharing the laundry facility with another unit, due to having the same landlord.
• the property is not run or managed by an agent. We deal with landlord direct.
• it is the first time the landlord have rent out the property for a long term, previously it's always have been air b'n'b.
• the unit next door which is the one we are sharing laundry facility with, meant to have only 2 people, but we think they probably have 3 or 4 people living in it.
• the washing facility cost is not part of the rent, it is covered by landlords bodycorp.

Ok, now the issue we have got is, since the laundry facility is being shared. It supposed to be 50/50. However for quite a while now, we have noticed them to have unlimited load of laundry to wash everyday. They also like to wash their bed sheet every day as well. I have spoke to them a few times, since we are having issue using the laundry since we are unable to wash our laundry as they are constantly washing. The last time I spoke to them was few days ago. The girl told me that her boyfriend's washing machine in his place broke, so she's also doing his washing as well. Hence the load increase.

You might ask me how often am I referring to. Tuesday and Wednesday I worked from home, Tuesday morning I did half of my washing at 8am, laundry dried at 12pm. By then, they have 2 full baskets of clothes waiting to be washed. On Wednesday morning I did the same thing. By the time I'm done, they got another 2 baskets of clothing there.
Thursday I got home at 830pm. They are washing their clothes again. Friday night I got home, they were doing washing again. This morning I woke up, they are doing washing again! I am sure they would have clothes to be washed tomorrow as well.

I found if I have to stay home all weekend waiting for a gap so I can squeeze in and do our washing and drying is ridiculous. I don't mind it every now and then, but from the time we moved in till now, it has been a few month. I start noticing my weekend is all about washing!

We told the landlord if they can try to remind the tenant that the machine is supposed to be shared, but they refuse to, They told us to go get our own washing machine or deal with it.

I work early hours and don't get home till late during weekdays. And there's not really many places to hang our clothes indoor. :(

You might ask me why don't I move out then, we could but with our property settling any time soon, it would be rather difficult to find a place with such a short lease, also the moving would be a headache, etc.

Sorry if I sound like a whinger. What would you do if you were me?

I have currently thought of:

• continue to suffer and say nothing
• talk to them again
• nego with work see if it's possible to work once a week at home for laundry… This sounds stupid. However if it's what it takes to get it done. I guess I could always try ask work.

By the way, these guys they do not work the hours we work. They are hospitality shift workers. They are normally home during day time.
