    I want to believe.

  • i feel like this is more of a forum post than a deal…

    • it is not free when you have to participate in market research, it's an exchange of services, with no special bargain involved…

      • there we go. all sorted. :)

I'm kinda curious about this - what sort of stuff do you get to test?

  • Don't get paid though. I guess.

Do we keep the tested products?

You're required to sent some of your poop to them for research purposes.

Didn't watch "Friends" regularly but the one where Monica was testing "Mocklet" was hysterical.

    My favourites
Phoebe saying "Now I know what pure evil tastes like" and
the exchange between Monica and the guy running the trial.
    "Are you allergic to anything"
    "Only cat hair"
    "Maybe not then".

  • Signed up, I'd enjoy doing this.

Knowing my luck I'd get the pet food.

  • Signed up! Made it sounds like you like ALDI products.

  • Have signed up. I hope I get accepted

  • Anyone notified yet?

Thank you for applying to join the ALDI Testers Club. We received an overwhelming number of applications, and unfortunately you were not selected this time. We greatly appreciate you taking the time to apply, and will keep your details in our database for 12 months in case another opportunity arises. You can also apply again during the next round of recruitment.

    :(

    • I got a rejection email last night too. Bizarre timing considering when i posted yesterday.

  • Got an email on Friday afternoon saying I was accepted then an email showing me what my first box of items will be and that I had one week to decline the box otherwise it will ship next week.

  • Channel Nine News are about to tell the world that people can get free products for a year via this so-called freebie club.

But the registrations closed long ago!

Talk about a media beat up!!!

    • It should reopen soon. The previous testers, including myself, have had our 12 months and received our last product packs and told that a new round will be opening soon

  • Cool.

How can you get inside the igloo to register to find out more?

    Thanks :-)

  • We are a family of five and wish to become product testers for aldi.

I have registered and looking forward to hearing from you in the near future.

Nothing’s more important to us than feedback from our customers, which is why we’re asking you to help us make our brands and products even better. The ALDI Testers Club is a one-year program that gives you - our valued customers - the opportunity to not only trial our products for free, but also have a significant influence on our product development and selection of what products ALDI stores will stock in the future.

So how does it work? Well, if you’re accepted, we will send you a free product pack every quarter. In this pack you’ll find 10 ALDI products, which you’ll have around two months to test and rate. To stay in the club, you’ll need to rate at least 50% of the products in each pack. You can also cancel the pack, or opt-out from the program anytime. See more details below.

    • Unfortunately, due to high demand and limited memberships, we are unable to accept all applicants.

Good if you get in but I wonder what the acceptance rate is? More like a competition if they only select a handful of applicants

I'd like to say "you have a better chance than that $9 scoopon flight deal with this deal" !

    • I'd say this is more so a competition

    • Sounds like a competition. Based purely on luck.

    • I hope they send out their squat rack for testing

More info in this article :

      TL;DR
They're only accepting 100 people into the Tester's Club.
In 2015 when the club began they had 17,000 people apply to join.

I'd say it's a fair assumption the number of people applying will significantly increase given Aldi's continued growth over the past 2 years.

  • My wife got accepted, I was accepted last year, so looks like it continues for our household this year

  • Were there applications open this year? I've been waiting to sign up but hadn't heard anything about it.
