Sorry, the lion hat is just wrong on so many levels. The claw caps are probably meant for the American market where some morons have their cats declawed; probably considered a humane alternative over there. Just give the cat plenty of scratching posts and stop annoying it.

I appreciate your feedback. Nice double entendre. I could be wrong but it sounds like you’re showing a little misguided frustration towards mistreated animals. And I hope this doesn’t spur an open forum over Cecil, but hey, if it annoys the cat - it will easily be able to take it off. I can give you an answer on probably each and every level, but at the end of the day, each to their own. And this is a product to cat lovers, like me, whom also find this mildly entertaining.
I do agree the claw caps are a much better alternative to declawing; which is just barbaric. I've never had a problem with my cats doing damage to my property when I've provided them with a number of scratching posts. (I understand others may not be so lucky). I don't think you are actually mistreating Cecil. I can't see too many cats actually enjoying the experience of wearing something like the lion mane and I am worried that if someone has purchased this they may "make" the cat wear it.
