New deal on Vinomofo today, rumoured to be Hewitson Mother Vine 2013.

Very reliable quality from this wine maker :)

Not much info available for this recent vintage, but $46.95/bottle or $281.70/6 pack for the 2012 vintage from Dan Murphys. Hewitson is a quality boutique producer, I've never had a bad wine from this crew.

    Where is the deal? $ off, % off RRP etc?

    Constantly putting up whatever this site is selling doesn't make it a deal IMO, and unlikely that any wine site sells at what they claim the RRP to be. We could post dozens of these a day but in reality few of them are really deals (in the sense that ozbargainers would consider).

      I think the neg is unfair. I'm not just 'putting up what the site is selling', I've tipped people off to the wines identity, which then makes it much easier to make a decision. I would always advise people to shop around and do their own price comparisons, as you say RRP doesn't mean much. I've included a price comparison to the 2012 vintage from Dans which I think gives a good indication of the value of the deal.

      I buy most of what I recommend through posts here. I have just finished a bottle of the Glenlofty 2012 Shiraz ( my last post before this), and while not quite as good as the 2011 vintage (another purchase), it is great value for the price it was on offer for at VM. I know the VM posts are contentious, but they do have a following here.

        I think people wouldn't mind if you actually posted wine deals other than Vinomofo, thus giving at least an illusion of objectivity and not just being in it for the referral credits.

        It looks like it's been over 18 months since your last wine deal that wasn't Vinomofo (which was a good cashback deal at DM's).

        Surely if you're such an avid wine drinker/online buyer you can't argue that no other site has had any good deals in 18 months?

        Would you like to disclose how much you've made from Vinomofo referrals? For the record, I've made $210 from posting my name onto the random list on the wiki, and haven't posted any deals (if I see a good deal I usually just buy it, and I assume that people who are familiar with VM just regularly browse it rather than waiting for someone to post a deal)

        Anyway, I retain the right to be skeptical, although I didn't neg.

          I'm with @Sweet3st on this - I don't buy wine other than on vinomofo, sorry. Other site wine deals? I rely on vinomofo to get decent wine cheaper and haven't had problems yet. Glenlofty 2012 Shiraz is very good indeed.

          One more point - I'm waiting for a good deal here. Don't be so jealous and respect posts with value of wine disclosure.

    Can confirm its the Mother Vine, not for me though, but its interesting to see VM bumping the referral up to $50
