    Nothing online for that price.

The same set that I used to buy for ~USD20 on a moderate sale, BigW is selling that for AUD$60. Our Aussie luck :(

Some walmart prices can be seen here: http://www.walmart.com/search/?query=corelle

  • Instore only. Post updated

  • Thanks op.. Will be going to bigw after work for the plates..

  • I've been looking for the geometric ones on special, we need a new set and the cups (ceramic) don't last as long as the rest of the kit. If anyone sees then please call out :)

  • Don't know if unlucky but a couple of days back i had something boil dry in my microwave.

So what you say ;)…but the base of the Corelle bowl in use got (almost) red hot and ignited the paper towel between the bowl and the Microwave base plate, anyway took the very hot bowl out of the microwave placed it on a stand on the bench- 30 seconds later bang it literally exploded. (lots of shards)

Never had that happen with any other item in my Microwave.

Just be careful when using and don't over do it with these. (my fault i know)

duh, mate, everyone knows these plates are side-of-bus safe but not microwave safe! :-) :-) :-)

      • You're mistaken. They can indeed be used in the microwave.

        • Explaining a joke is like dissecting a frog. You understand it better but the frog dies in the process.

That's pretty dramatic and you wouln't wants a short person's eyes near that. Did you maybe put it on a cold metal stand and the fast contraction was too much for it. I always use mine in the m/w.

  • Some of the DFO outlets have a Corelle outlet store, where you can generally get 20% off the RRP for plates, etc. Sometimes they have even better deals. (That said the plates are normally more than $3).

Hopefully some left over tomorrow when I can make it.

I'm a big fan of Corelle (in pure white), classic styling won't go out of date.

Plus I can stack bowls beautifully in the dishwasher.

I am in furious agreement on that.

Love Corelle. Put an end to the little chips/dinks that my missus used to do, rendering an entire dish sets incomplete. Speaking of dish sets, the loose pieces are great, could get as much as we want and replace as and when needed.

BUT, when Corelle breaks, it really smashes into smithereens.

      Amen to that.

  • I looked at BIGW Macarthur Centre Bris cbd
Not all of them are on sale over here, only those labelled.

The sale items had fingerprints all over them so if you buy I hope you soap them good! xD

  • Are the white ones included?

As an aside, I recently used one of their casserole dishes to pop corn in the microwave (with butter), have done so for years.

I for some reason or other decided to put water into it after I'd finished and it exploded, quite literally. Won't be doing THAT again. lol

White ones not included only the patterns in the post above.
