Yeah i'm pretty sure it's the same as well. I just need the sensative variant. Great find OP.
Really ?!
I have no idea !
Maybe it's in my mind, but Aldi ones always feel sticky after washing… maybe its all in my head
Just paid $30 at Coles for the same thing, bugger.
Return it.. đđ¤ˇââď¸
$6.25/L is the cheapest for a long time now, used to be $6 but you beat it with subscribe and save
OMO Professional 4.2L was $9 delivered at Appliances Online - almost $2/L.
was there a post about it? i must have missed it, would have stocked up!
"was" could be ages ago
what about sensitive?
nice , slightly cheaper than WoW
The Ultimate sensitive 2L is actually $14.40
Reckon even me hi-visâll come out lookinâ brand new â the missusâll think I finally got a pay rise. Just told the young bloke to stop hosing the driveway and order two. Thanks op!
This or biozet?
Good question. Waiting to hear….
fyi we are ripped off with the price of biozet I just got back from Japan & 1kg powder is Less than $3 aud in the stores colesworth sells $14 . & 403g capsules $4 .Colesworth $30. I actually brought some home as it was so cheap .
FYI- Powder outperforms the equivalent liquid detergent.
Generally cheaper too.
Never used this omo variant but I use bosisto 5x power liquid and it removes blood easily when applied directlyđand stains on tea towels from various foods
I have used bosisto powder in the past when we had babies.
The bosisto liquid scored average in the Choice test- https://www.choice.com.au/products/home-and-living/laundry-aâŚ
And scored rather poorly on the Blood stains test - 41%.
This one works on teenage boy school shirt armpits. 'Nuff said.
According to chemists who analysed this the reality is more nuanced. They found liquid detergents are generally better for oily and greasy stains, while powder detergents excel at removing dirt and whitening clothes. So, neither type universally "outperforms" the other, though powder is certainly cheaper

Thanks.
I have both at home.
Will use liquid detergent for oil stains but I usually pre-treat them with a spray anyway.
Price Vs quantity needed. I barely need 15ml-20ml liquid in a full load. I've got auto dispensing and fill up my 1.2L tub once in 3-3.5 weeks and I do 25 loads a week. I get around 5 weeks from 2 Litres ~150 loads. Granted not all loads are full. Powder does not breakdown on a sub 20c cycle. I changed 5 years ago and wouldn't use powder if it were free.
25 loads a week…..
That's dirty
Yeah why so many
@mooseca: Assuming 30L of water per wash (almost certainly more than that), that's 750L of water per week or 39,000L per year. Enough to fill a small pool
If it were closer to 50L/wash (closer to the average), that's 1,250L/week, 65,000L/year. Enough to overflow a pool 2 metres deep, 8 metres long and 4 metres wide by 1,000 litres
That's ~$150/year spent on just the water for washing clothes
@SpainKing: Due to the auto dispensing, the washing machine will be closer to a 'smart' one. Given they are only using 15-20ml, then the load is substantially smaller than a 'standard' load, so whilst the frequency goes up, the water usage should be on the lower end.
It's not linear though as washing two partial loads still uses more water than a single larger load.
Unfortunately kids don't necessarily allow for you to time things optimally…
@peter05: Can you get me a source? I looked online but didn't find much about water usage for full/partial loads.
The AI overview said that it wasn't a universal trend to use less water for less washing, that they use roughly the same amount of water and that the difference was generally not significant. 30L/load was also very conservative to begin with. The most water-efficient top loaders use double that
@SpainKing: I don't have any examples sorry, just my personal experience from Miele with autodosing.
It reduces water and detergent usage based upon load size and soiling (manually set) but as far as I am aware, those are the only parameters. It isn't a closed loop system where it detects saturation of oils/dirts etc and adds more detergent
I'd be averaging around 80 cycles a month and a 2L bottle will last around 2 months. Each wash comes in at around 35-40L with a front loader.
Note that most of my cycles I use a prewash so it cycles additional water through before performing the main wash. Without the prewash, it uses around 30-35L.
Have begun cutting back on the prewash cycles this month and will see how it goes, saving it only for the most soiled clothes.
Had historically run even more cycles when using washable diapers (1x additional cycle/night + 1x additional cycle/2-3 nights)
'25 loads a weekâŚ..'
The thought of doing 3 loads a day each day every day is enough to tip me over the edge.
Not sure why I can't buy this item, I keep getting an error.
Same, but fixed now.

No shipping to Darwin even with prime… thanks Amazon
what's a Darwin ?
I just use Cold Power Advanced Clean Liquid Laundry Detergent 5.4L.
Is OMO much better?
My experience is that Biozet out performs OMO Ultimate.
YMMV.
But that's not the question that was asked.
OMO or Cold power…..
Based on Choice testing, I think OMO Ultimate comes out on top.
Choice rates Biozet rather low. Except the new pods that look like tampons.
Still have an unopened bottle of dynamo that I got from the catch closing sale.
Apparently back in stock I just ordered mine. Thanks OP
Back in stock.
Which is the best quality laundry detergent you can get from Coles and Woolies?
this one, in powder form
I haven't seen you share a deal for a while, miss your weird mosquito and skincare stuff.
Ozb banned me from sharing deals
Look up choice
Can anyone explain why I should purchase this over the $2.50 Earths Choice from Woolies, Im new to this whole washing clothes thing!
Itâs the best rated by Choice (well the powered version IIRC)
Earth's Choice has been rated lower for washing qualtiy
However they are better rated at environmentally friendly and owned by an Australian company.
I tried those dissolvable sheets, from one of the boxes on the shelf. They are horrid
My favourite detergent. Used to have a nice strong freshly washed smell now the "new & improved" formula smells a lot weaker but still noticeable and nice. I think a lot of people with sensitive noises complained
Wondering if detergents go off? i probably have a couple years worth but will buy one of these anyway
Thanks. Added three for s&s. Good price
I have started using the sheets.
They are easier to store and handle than powder or liquid.
They are also useless to dosage, I need three pieces for there to be ay suds in a wash.
waste of money
Are you for or against the sheets?
From reports, they are pretty rubbish at cleaning.
Why do people pay this much for a washing powder that is arguably the same (âlemon-scentedâ) shite I buy regularly from Colesworth stores for about $5 for 4 kg??
It works fine, smells good too.
I have never understood this!
P.S. You can also buy a liquid (âCleanâ) from Woollies.
They perform better.

Omo Ultimate Powder Front Loader. CHOICE Expert Rating is 86%
Coles Lemon Fresh Laundry Powder Top Loader 68%
Woolworths Clean Laundry Powder Lemon Fresh Front Loader 64%
Better but not night and day better.
You may want to try Aldi Laundrite Laundry Powder Front Loader which rates higher (79%) than Colesworth at the same $5 for 4 kg.
I didn't realise the Aldi performed so well at that price, I'm actually keen to give a go lol
Received, and typical of Amazon to just chuck it into an oversized box without padding or taping up the lid. Lucky this time it didn't leak or spill.
Previous purchase it did leak and needed to initiate a chat to report it, and they offered refund without needing to return.
You would think they'd learn though!
Lovely. Thanks OP. Makes it just slightly cheaper than the ALDI Trimat Advanced which I'm convinced is an identical product. $6.00 / L vs $5.625 / L for this deal with s&s.
