Free 1 or 3 Day Entry @ Food & Wine Expo 2015 [Newcastle NSW / Perth WA]

530
Scoopon

1 x ticket to Newcastle or Perth Food & Wine Show.

Originally part of a Scoopon deal asking you to pay $16/$30 for 1 or 3 day passes with BONUS cooler bag. Such a bargain!… I think not. But careful snooping means if you just use "Scoopon" anytime they ask you for a promo code or voucher number on the registration page, you'll get the ticket for free without actually having to buy the voucher via Scoopon.

You can only register for one ticket at a time, but nothing to stop you from repeating the same process a few more times for family members.

Does not apply for Gold Coast or Canberra. Guess it's because those events aren't till next year.

Hopefully this is worthy of my first post!

13/8 Edit: Looks like they've stopped tickets for the Perth show, but Newcastle is still good for now.

So go to the website foodandwineexpo.com.au and enter the code scoopon?

Buying a ticket via the foodandwineexpo.com site will direct you to the Eventbrite site and you enter the code there.

      • I was expecting the page to direct to scoopon. lol
        Great deal!

        • Noticed the tickets are now missing from my account. Reckon they are cancelled?

        • @Joyoz:
Just checked my account and it is not there, so it's a possibility!!!
Having said that, the same thing happened to me for the Good Food and Wine show. There was a system glitch (my tickets did not show up in my account), so they told me to show the order number at the box office to redeem my tickets.

I'm not fussed if I miss out anyways. I went to the Good Food and Wine show earlier this year and I dont see how this could be any different? Perhaps not as Good? :P

        • @Joyoz:

Mine seem to be missing for the Perth shows, yet the test ticket I did for the Newcastle show is still there. The tickets are still on my Passbook and we'd have the printed versions too, wonder if they'd actually work on the day…

  • worked for me. entered "scoopon" as the promo code and voucher number

  • Worth a punt, but won't be disappointed if they cancel

  • Page 1: "These will be validated with your Voucher Code (on the next page)"
Page 2: "What is your Voucher Number" - required field.

You can put some junk into the voucher number, but it seems rather dodgy.

    • I left it blank and it worked

    Thanks OP!

Just saw on the Scoopon site, if you purchase the ticket through them you get a free cooler bag….

Grab a full-day entry pass for one day of your choice, PLUS an awesome cooler bag - only $16 for 1 person
Or make a weekend of it with a three-day unlimited entry pass and a cooler bag - just $30 for 1 person!

Your complimentary cooler bag can be picked up from the event's Information Box on the day

I hope this applies to our tickets as well!

Exhibitor - "Would you like to try a sample of our…."
OzBargainer - "Chuck it in the bag please"
    Exhibitor - "Excuse m…."
OzBargainer - "In the bag please, I've only got 15 minutes to fill 'er up for a picnic date…"

PS - Anyone been to the Food and Wine Expo before? (if so, how does it compare to the Good Food and Wine Show)

Found that one order can be for 2 tickets for each order

  • It's a very progressive website - you get to choose your gender!
    Thanks OP.

  • This is awesome =D

I seriously consider purchasing products at the Sydney show every year thanks to ozbargain

and I look forward to seriously considering purchasing products at the Newcastle show!

  • Thanks OP, just snagged 2 for the mrs and I

  • Great first post OP!

  • Awesome work. Got 3 of the 3 day passes.

  • I wish I could go to this… let me look for flights to Newcastle!

  • I just got a voicemail from the expo apparently they can't validate the tickets because there is "no redemption code". Anyone else get the same call?

    • No, all good so far.

What did you put in the voucher field ?

      • "scoopon"

        • I didn't get a phone call and despite the tickets emailed to me, they no longer show on my account. Promotional events in the past do.

Sorry, the promotional code you entered has expired.

  • Worked for me in Newcastle

  • If anyone is going to the Newcastle expo today, please report back your impression/trouble using the free ticket.

    • It scanned for me!

      • Did they remove the tickets from your account? I would have thought they would cancel the tickets they removed…good to know they didn't cancel them if you're tickets were gone too!

        • +1

No, the tickets weren't removed. I guess they never cancelled any in Newcastle?
Was okay for a day out, but wouldn't have paid for it :/

        • @Littlechu: Thanks for your reply! sounds like they only cancelled the Perth ones then :( Think I might just give it a miss to be on the safe side
