Australian eBike Company - Price Reduction

60% price reduction:-
Since these guys are using crowdfunding to tool up for their new eBike range, it can't be mentioned as an OzBargain deal.
(Its against posting rules to mention crowdfunded projects as a "Deal", but is perfectly ok to talk about them in the Forums)

how much is the original price ?

  • Designed and assembled in WA - yet priced in USD? so the price goes up as the exchange rate worsens?
Or are they really US based?

  • nice looking bike.
60% off the $949/1149US asking price is pretty good or do you mean the RRP?
How can it be 60% off when it has never been sold for that high price (and thats illegal to do selling in Australia)

How much is postage to the Gold Coast? (I cant seem to find post rates anywhere)

  • Its a crowdfunded project for a brand new product .. so yes you are correct … the RRP is entirely moot .. there was no original price. They are using some sort of eventual pricing structure on which they base the perceived discount, (elsewhere its suggested its around $4000 to get a high quality electric bike usually).
Or maybe its some amalgum of typical pricing from other manufacturers - I was just reciting the sales blurb on the page itself.
Pricing in US dollars because it's a world-wide funding campaign … and the US dollar is considerably more stable than the oz dollar.
Delivery cost, is guaranteed to be max US$99 within australia, scaling upwards to US$249 to send overseas, depending on distance,.
