Just got back from the Sydney Dog Show. As usual, Dyson had a booth with discounts. Based on the card, offer looks to be open to all (just enter coupon code, no proof of attendance necessary.

Only high end Dysons though. Asked for the DC50 or DC59 but not applicable.

Models discounted:
Dyson V6 Absolute ($629.30 - prev. low $584.35, but only at Food&Wine show)
DC54 Animal Pro ($769.30 - prev. low $824, $799@Masters)
DC54 Animal ($699.30 - prev. low dunno)
DC65 Animal ($663.30 - prev. low dunno)
AM09 ($489.30 - prev. low $524)

Also:
Tangle-free turbine tool ($62.30 - RRP$89)
Groom tool ($62.30 - RRP$89)

Tried it on shop.dyson.com.au and coupon works across the board.
DC65 comes with 2 free tools.
Free shipping and 2 years guarantee from Dyson website.
Lasts until 23/08/2015

Not as good as 40% off last year, but at least it is for current top models and better than 25% discount at Perth show last month.

No sucks puns please. Ok, maybe some.

  • I bought their bet barrel at the start of the year and find it's a real B to move around. I got slate floors and it's real easy for rubbish to get picked up .. I'm tossing up whether or not I should buy a handstick or a robot, any opinions on one over the other? I got a DC58 Animal Handheld too which is great but not ideal for doing large floor areas.

Could try just buying the wand replacement part for your DC58 so it becomes one of the above perhaps?

      http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dyson-DC58-DC61-Animal-Handheld-P…

Actually works out cheaper to buy the DC58 + the spare wand ($330 + ~$95) and then it becomes a hand stick.

      • Do you know if the wand from a barrel vaccuum (DC54) would fit a handheld (DC58)?

        • Unfortunately the wands and most of the heads are not compatible between the barrel vacuum cleaners and the cordless models. I have both and tried.

Read the reviews before buying the animal, will never waste money on Dyson again, bought a miele and really happy with it

Ladies and gentlemen I have cracked the code!

  • Dyson sucks…
    Thanks for posting OP

One would expect a vacuum to suck. Regardless - good observation

        Some blow as well

  • My dc 59 animal
Is top range what are u on about :)
The model which is one model higher is same as mine, just a new bigger head, it fits in perfectly onto the older models, no need to spend on a new model.

  • Wow, dysons are expensive…even after discount

These things last for several years and save your back (by constantly struggling with a cheapo machine), that's why.

Upgrade to my seven our old DC19 Turbine was long due.
Went for DC54 Animal Pro for $769.30. We don't have Masters in the Northern Territory yet.
Hard to find 30% off on Dyson (with Free Delivery), especially in the NT.

  • Cheapest ive seen for AM09. Thx op!

  • Awesome! Getting the AM09! Thanks OP…been waiting to get this at a discounted price. :)

  • Can anyone give advice on whether we should get the DC65 Animal or DC54 Allergy please? We have never had a dyson but due to bad allergies recently, have decided to bite the bullet. The DC65 is upright and I am concerned that it won't be as manoeuvrable as the a barrel vacuum like the DC54. We don't have pets but allergies and daughters have long hair that invariably end up on the floor. Thanks for any help.

    • the vid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJt3DGMLYas state that the dc65 comes with a 5 year warranty. how come http://www.dyson.com.au/vacuum-cleaners/uprights/dc65.aspx state only 2 year?
      thanks.

    • Ended up buying the DC65 and it arrived yesterday. Certainly has suction power but I am finding it quite heavy to push around compared to a barrel vacuum. It also can't get into tight areas, even with the expandable hose and fitting because the hose is resistant to being stretched out, making it difficult to use. Will probably keep it though as it's good for a full house clean. Have a 2wk return period.

  • Hmmm….I'm getting coupon code not valid!

  • Anyone's orders been confirmed and dispatched yet?

    • Mine just has, cheers

    • +1

      Received mine.

  • I think the coupon has expired, saying it isn't valid for me.

    • Me too, seems to be expired. So annoying, I waited the extra day so I could go try in store! Oh well, thanks OP, was a good deal while it lasted
