Not a valid reason to neg. I saved about 200$ when I booked a hotel in HongKong through hotelclub than directly with the hotel.
In spite of 15% discount, hotel bookings through HotelClub cost way more (as in $100+ per night when I compared tonight) than tax inclusive prices through hotel web sites. $200 off their stupidly inflated prices?

Recently all their discount code has a 'capped' amount, and they are not telling you.
Why don't they just put up a 30% discount code and capped the max discount as $30. Remove the cap or
customers remove you from their search.

No, as long as it is set in AUD you don't get charged. I have made several bookings, and my CC was charged with the figure I saw on the checkout page. Confirmed this with live chat before making the booking as well.
Found it cheaper to book directly with hotels.
