haha cheers buddy.. funnily enough, I looked at it 3 times and thought "nah, haven't missed anything"

  • It says $199 now and googles cache from the 16th says $199 too…. so is this a bargain or not?

  • Is this the same drill as the $99 deal just with all the bits?

    • No this is a hammer drill.

  • its not a bargain. you can get kits with the bigger better battery packs. The drill and cheap plastic box is worth maybe $100. Then you are left with old skool 1.5Ah cells for $100. You can get 2x 2.5Ah packs from that clearance deal for $100-$120 (same physical size, just way better 2.5Ah cells), sell one of the chargers, buy whichever one+ drill you want and a cheap drill bit set and be much better off for the same money.

  • Same price as it always has been, I'm keeping a close eye on Ryobi stuff as I "need" another 4AH battery….

    • the big packs are 5Ah now.

      • And any good ozbargain will know the 4's will eventually come down in price ;-) just like they did wen shifting from 1.2AH to 1.3, then 1.5 and the reintroduction of the 1.3's and then the new 2.5's

  • This hammer drill is poor & waste of money - utterly useless for hard brick.
Took mine back & exchanged for One+ Rotary Hammer - goes through same said brick like knife through butter!

    • Is the rotary hammer the SDS drill? http://www.bunnings.com.au/ryobi-one-18v-sds-cordless-rotary…
How do you find it? I have been looking at it as an wireless alternative to existing $69 Ozito wired one, but not sure if worth the cost.

      • I have the earlier model to what you linked
        http://ryobi.com.au/18v-one-rotary-hammer-crh1801g

It has a lower percussive rate, but a higher impact force.
It is brilliant. Is even FAR better & quicker on masonry than my wired/electric hammer drill that it replaced when it went cactus.

        • Thanks. I have one of the Ozito SDS Rotary hammer ones from when they were $69, it is really powerful but jumps around a lot which enlarges the hole size above the drill bit and makes the holes a bit messy. Also is a nuisance having cables when climbing a ladder.

How smooth is the percussive motion on the One+ while hammering? Does it try to jerk around?

          Thanks.

        • @ruddj:
It doesn't 'jump around' but you might get a slightly larger diameter hole than you expected.
Just use a drill bit 1mm diameter smaller than required, as a precaution (such as for wall plugs, dynabolts, etc)

Or drill a few sizes smaller as a pilot hole, then run the correct size through afterwards.

That is also more accurate, AND generally quicker than trying to get it done in one go with a larger drill bit.
