What 27" Monitor to Buy

With all the 20% off deals etc I am in the market for a good 27" monitor
I bought a cheapie AOC that was ok but now I have experienced the size I want a higher resolution and maybe a better panel
So what can you recommend in a monitor 27" or above with a resolution above full HD that is higher than 1920
Might be pushing the friendship but I would prefer a squarer machine too - that's 16:10 rather than 16:9 right?

Would you consider the Kogan 27" - comes down to $348.50 with the code

Would also consider a yumcha brand IPS panel that I have heard mentioned
Any recommendations really appreciated

  • I haven't really read or heard anything bad about the Kogan LCD's. Just that the stands are a bit flimsy but that's about it.

  • What's your price range? I recommend dell u2715h. It has insane color accuracy.

    • Would be very happy with a Dell again - was hoping there was one in the sale but alas
Newest models are pretty expensive at $800 plus - would jump at one less 20%
Ideally budget in the $500 ballpark for name brands or less for yumcha unless warranty etc very solid
Usage is desktop office - mostly documents and net
little or no gaming and just a little video/photo editing
      Cheers

  • Yeh OP pretty vague on your part… what's your budget? what are you doing with it? gaming?

I have one of these, bought it in 2013 for $411.00. Love this monitor to bits.

I've had one of these for 3-4 years so far. Great monitor.

did you buy from this ebay seller you linked to or just some random
Also do you use the speakers - how terrible are they?

        • @Noblejoker: Oh I certainly don't use the speakers. I had my 2.1 Logitech's to plug straight in, so I have never tried them. And yes, I did buy from the South Korean seller.

    • Still the same price 2 years later??

  • Anyone have experience of this Dell - cheap at $640
I am concerned the resolution will be too high at 3840x2160
