This deal includes 4 x 480g of a great new Colombian microlot 2015 Crop that just landed. This is a relationship coffee from Colombia of high quality and is roasted in 4 different ways for your enjoyment and to showcase the effect that a roast profile can have in the cup.

1 x 480g Colombia Tierra Deniro Inza cauca Microlot (light filter roast)
1 x 480g Colombia Tierra Deniro Inza cauca Microlot (slow roast 20 mins)
1 x 480g Colombia Tierra Deniro Inza cauca Microlot (espresso/dark roast)
1 x 480g Colombia Tierra Deniro Inza cauca Microlot (medium roast)

There are varying techniques involved when roasting these coffees. Not just overall roast time but various profile stages and development times etc These are all being small batch roasted on our smaller 5kg roaster. Due to the increased labour time involved in the small batch roasting please allow and extra day or 2 to ship.

    Would these (obviously dark roast is ok) be suitable for espresso/milk based coffees?
    Also, would each roast style need to be ground finer/coarser?

      Yes you can still enjoy them all as espresso and milk but there will be evident profile differences ie acidity, body and flavours etc

      Normally you would need to adjust the grind. Roast profile and bean types can require different grind settings.

    This is a great idea to understand a bit more what goes into the flavours that can be tasted in coffee (I have no idea of the differences between the different roasts).
