OZBARGAINDAD

Hi Ozbargainers

I just started a store selling board games and we will be moving into pop-culture. I have worked hard to ensure that all my prices are the lowest possible. They should be cheaper than eBay or any other online store.

For a limited time I will be offering free shipping using the above code.

Some good bargains and perfect for Father's day include:

Never have I ever - $35.00

Grass Card Game - $16.50

Monopoly Game of thrones edition - $58.95

Catan - $64.95

Pie face, Exploding kittens and Eneloops are also on their way!

I guarantee that I will be the cheapest, if you find anything cheaper or want a game that is not on the website please comment below and I will give you the best price possible.

Would love some feedback as well!

Cheers

  • Any deals on mice & mystics expansions?

    • +2

      Hi Ferrari

I am working on it, I only have the main pack in stock at the moment. I will source the expansions and let you know the price ASAP.

      Cheers

      • Thanks! Let me know.

  • The cheapest pie face I saw was $29.95, I forgot where I found that though…

    • +1

      Hey Maki,

You should have grabbed it! They are out of stock worldwide and not expecting stock until November, if you check eBay the game is going for $65+.

We have about 5 sets which we bought over from Korea. It was a really old game made 15 years ago with little demand for it until the viral video came out, so the factory has had to redo tooling and everything.

      Cheers

  • Free shipping makes this a good deal.

    • Hi G1234567

Shipping is a flat rate of $10 for all Australian Orders under $70, however with the above code it is free.

Thank you for the feedback. I will update this

      Cheers

    Good luck in your venture!

      Thank you :)

      • Glad to have another option for board games in Oz. Just a general question; one of the many frustrations I've found from the existing stores here has been both the higher prices that Australian stores charge (which is somewhat understandable given the size/weight of the boxes, but still a major pain point) and also the long lead times to get stock (I'm looking at you Milsims)..

Are you able to pricematch if I find a title cheaper elsewhere and have you got any plans to minimise the stock issue?

        Cheers and good luck :)

          Hi Rodeh

I love board games myself and I have been frustrated many times like you, if you check the reviews of many of the top online game shops they are horrible. Some of them have over 100 negative reviews.

This is where we seek to stand out. We will keep you in the loop regarding each stage of your parcels journey and will let you know the moment any problems occur. I have found that transparency and communication is usually the best solution.

We would definitely be able to price match. :)

  • Are you planning on selling Carcassonne?

  • +1

Will you be getting Viticulture in and if so, when and how much?

    • Hi Lefi

Yes we will be, Vitculture will cost $79.95 with free shipping included. It will take about 2 weeks to get to you as our supplier is from Adelaide and we are located in Melbourne.

      Cheers

  • do you sell magic?

  • +3

Hang on. Why are you advertising these prices before gst?

    http://www.business.gov.au/business-topics/selling-products-…

I was about to order then I noticed GST was slugged on at the final step. Big Big no no. Ill give you a chance to correct before you get my downvote.

      Hi Theworks

Thank you soo much for bringing this to my attention!

I didn't realise this was happening. Please accept my sincere apologies.

This should be fixed now. I will also refund anyone who has paid extra because of this error.

      Cheers

      • No worries. Ill give you + and order. Top stuff

        • +4

We are using an american platform and I am assuming the default is that they charge tax separately.

Thanks for being so accepting of our teething issues.

      • +1

OP, you don't need to register for GST until you reach $75,000 annual turnover. Unless I'm missing something.

        • +4

Thank Dagmar, It was more the fact that I would be charging 10% over what I had intended, but as a customer I would be annoyed if tax was added at checkout so I am glad it was brought to my attention

        • @Justing197:

          Ahh, I misunderstood. Take care.

  • What's the price on Exploding Kittens going to be?

    • It will be around $39.95 - 49.95, depending on our shipping costs.

      Cheers

        • +1

I ended up buying both versions of Exploding Kittens on Amazon for US$48.99 ~ $70 AUD.

  • +1

I have noticed you guys are pretty closely located. Is there any sort of pick up option available?

    • +2

      Hi Omar

Yes, we offer pickup after hours. Our store is not scheduled to open until November. Please let me know what items you would like and we can arrange a time.

      Cheers

      • yay…looking forward to having another Bricks'n'Mortar store in SE suburbs now that another place is no longer in Bentleigh

Thanks - couldn't see it when I looked earlier today. Appears to be available for $42.99 at Games Empire (Sydney-based) at the moment though - any chance of a better price? http://www.gamesempire.com.au/index.php?_a=viewProd&productI…

        • +4

          Hi SkyHeron,
I have revised the price to $49.99. With our free shipping code it will only cost 49.99.
Games Empire w/ shipping will cost you over 52.99.

Thank you for approaching us :)

Oh no I love board games but am running out of room….. I will just have a quick look at your website.

    • +1

haha you can never have too many games…

  • Pictionairy is $39 flat at target and regularly up to 25% off in sales. They are sold out at the moment though.

    • Hi Putnum

We can beat that price for pick up in south eastern suburbs in Melbourne, otherwise postage makes it impossible to beat that price. :(

      Cheers

  • I see you have the Ticket to Ride 100th anniversary. Any chance you'll get expansion maps? I'm particularly interested in the Heart of Africa.

Hey Rep I've been looking for this game http://happywithgame.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/pokemon-…
Any chance you can track it down?

    • Hi Riczter,
We will keep trying to look for that game but from what i can see it is a discontinued game from the 90s. Will keep you posted!

      • Thanks!

  • Hi rep,

Can you source dominion and related expansion packs?
    In particular the following expansions
    - Hinterland
    - Dark Ages
    - Adventures

    Thank you in Advance

  • Hi Rep,

Interested in the grass card game, could you please advise what the differences between the regular version and bag version - apart from the bag of course? My google skills are not assisting me

I've played it once before at a friends some years back and had my eye out for my own deck.

Also Rep if you are keen on sourcing new products (and fellow ozbargainers)

I played this at my cousins house

    https://www.cryptozoic.com/games/epic-spell-wars-battle-wiza…

And it was great fun would throw money at that too and recommend others to give it a go where possible too!

    • Any chance of an answer rep? re: the Grass question - not so much the epic spell wars thing

      • The only difference, as you expect is the bag.
The bag is to hold the game to which you can claim you have a "bag of grass".

To Epic Spell Wars: we have not heard of this game but will look into it as it does seem pretty fun! Thanks for the tip!

  • I'm interested in Ticket to Ride base game if you have it.

  • Do you have the expansions for catan?

    • Hi Dank

Yes we do, which expansion were you after?

      Cheers

    • Hi Dank16,
Most of the expansions for catan are now online.
      http://www.gameology.com.au/search?q=catan

If you are after any other edition, please PM me.

    • This game destroys friendships. You have been warned

  • Just made a purchase. Thanks!

    • Thanks for your support :)

  • Jenga is not the cheapest. Found a couple of places cheaper ($27 at Target), $25 at Mr Toys. Some other places cheaper, but have to pay P&H. So your offer of free shipping is good, but still not the lowest.

    • Hi Giu
We can beat that price for pick up in south eastern suburbs in Melbourne, otherwise postage makes it impossible to beat that price. :(

      Thanks!

  • Hi OP, noticed you sell CAH, but do you sell the Big Black Box also? Would like to get the lot in one go if possible.

    • why not get it officially? They deliver to Australia now!

      • Ah, I didn't know that! Thanks!

  • 5 of the 6 Games i checked against milsims were cheaper at milsims although they were mostly on backorder. They also have cheaper flat rate postage. So if you are like me and have a pile of games waiting to play and don't mind waiting for backorders to add to the pile then milsims is still better.

    • +7

      Hi Rakerr

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I have not had a chance to benchmark my prices against Mislims, I have been using games paradise. Please let me know what the games are and we will beat their advertised price.

We are on ozbargain for a reason, we will give our customers the best bargains.

      • In my experience games paradise has always been more expensive than Milsims. Milsims is the current go to online shop for board games in Australia. Beat their shipped prices and you shouldn't have many issues gaining customers especially if you have stock ready to go. You can do the comparisons. Off the top of my head stone age, 7 wonders, dominion da, settlers i checked. your 10th ann ttr was cheaper than theirs.

  • Hi, just wondering if you have Scoundrels of Skullport (Lords of Waterdeep expansion)?

    Thanks.

    • +1

      Hi nayfon,
We currently do not have this as a product. I will look into this and when we do I'll be sure to let you know!

  • Hi. I've just ordered. Had to do it from my phone, so I might have missed the part about how long delivery would take? Could you please advise? Thanks.

    • We use Australia Post eParcel for most of deliveries. The delivery times can vary from 2 days to 7, but in most cases you should allow approximately 5 business days from the purchase date.

It really depends on where you are located in Australia :)
If you have anymore questions, please email us with your order number as reference.

      • I can wait - just wanted to know what to expect, thanks.

  • Hello,

Do you do a pre-order for Magic the Gathering card games?

Furthermore, just for consideration, it's probably better to put your email/ telephone number on your website so people can reach you.. :)

  • HAH! I was wondering if it was just me, but it appears "Never Have I Ever" might not be the best game to play with the kids on Father's Day.

From the site: "Still feeling weird about that time you called someone the wrong name during sex? How about when you got arrested for public urination? Dont worry, all your poor decision-making has finally paid off."

    Good price but!

  • Any chance for Formula D?

  • Hi Justing197,

I'm looking for Ladies & Gentlemen and Fantasy Flight Supply Sleeves (I think mostly Standard American and Standard European but I have to double check).

I'm also looking for the Cosmic Incursion and Cosmic Conflict expansions for Cosmic Encounter. Giant sleeves that fit the Cosmic Encounter alien sheets (such as Swan Cosmic Encounter Sheet) would be amazing.

Also these two items have the wrong image, and you've got PokŽmon instead of Pokémon in a few places.

    • +1

Thanks for pointing out the mistakes, there must have been an error in our bulk listing. We will update the pokemon catalogue with images shortly.

      Ladies and Gentlemen: http://www.gameology.com.au/products/ladies-gentlemen

We have yet not looked into Fantasy Flight products but we will and let you know in the near future.
      Thank you for your post!

      • Excellent. I will definitely order Ladies & Gentlemen at that price.

If you think you will have an answer in the next couple of days regarding the Fantasy Flight sleeves and/or Cosmic Encounter expansions I can wait until then to order, otherwise I will just go ahead and order now.

        • We probably won't have an answer by Friday so best to place an order now
          Thanks Stoz

        • @86boy: Do you have Catan Junior and/or Betrayal at House on the Hill?

      • +1

Like some other posters I am running out of room for games, but two more I wanted to ask about were Catan Junior and Betrayal at House on the Hill.

        • -1

betrayal at house on the hill +1!!!!
