This is a new, factory seconds product, Panasonic VIERA 127CM (50") TH-P50G10A FullHD Plasma TV from 2nds World.
These are amazing quality for the price. Must order online, but available to pickup from Auburn, NSW after online order.

JB Hifi is selling these new for $1941, but the factory seconds from this store are amazing quality and it's just not worth spending an extra $400 for a new one. Panasonic have such strict quality assurance, that items with the most minor imperfections are considered seconds. The TV we purchased had some sticky residue on the stand from the protective plastic that was easily removed - it's otherwise PERFECT. Feel free to speak to 2nds World reps, they will also tell you just how good the Panasonic factory seconds products are.

I'm also happy to recommend that 2nds World has some of the best service I have come accross from a retailer in a very long time.

They also have very low Australia wide delivery fees - under $90 to WA and as little as $40 in NSW.
I have two of these TVs now, one bought brand new and the other as a factory second and there isn't a minutae of difference between them.

EDIT: Yes, the bonus Wii is available for this factory second product.
The Terms and Conditions state that it is available for the purchase of a “Panasonic VIErA Full High Definition Plasma TV from an authorised Panasonic participating retailer during the Promotion Period”.

2nds World is most definitely an authorised dealer and there is nothing in the Panasonic T&C about purchase of factory seconds. I have already submitted my claim for the bonus Wii for this offer.

    Does Seconds world offer warranty/extended warranty? if yes what is the cost?

    Edit : it does come with extended warranty - 289 for 3 years.

      Hi bozter, As you found out,the 2nds World warranties are very reasonable priced.
      I'd also recommend purchasing any electronis with a Visa Gold card because you get a very good extra year warranty on most items.

      using receipt off whirlpool my brother managed to get 50g10 from jb with 5 year total warranty and delivery for 2070. tv was invoiced for $1650
      would rather get the 50s10 deal that was at clive peeters

    Would be a decent (non-haggling) price if it wasn't for the Wii bonus offer. I've bought factory seconds from various manufacturers over the years and never had a problem with them, and they come with a full warranty generally as well.

    I dont know about this I thought the term factory seconds could mean anything from minor imperfections to fixed after being hit with the kitchen sink. I would def. buy a new one or wait till they get cheaper thanks for posting though.

      No, a factory second is not a refurbished item (one that has been repaired). A factory second is one that does not meet the quality assurance criteria (ie. blemishes, markse, damaged boxes) to be sold new.

      I posted this because the quality of Panasonic factory seconds is as almost imperceptable from a new product.

    Isnt this the same as Clive Peeters' $1599 pana 50" plasma? I know its price has gone up to $1899 but while prices are this low factory seconds should have a three digit price tag to get my attention!

      The Clive Peeters deal is for the Panasonic TH-P50S10A. This is for the Panasonic TH-P50G10A which is a superior model.

      Yeah, unfortunately, people are very quick to leave negative comments without actually knowing the full facts!

      This is the fifth P50G10 I have purchased (the other four were from another retailer in Melbourne). And it IS a good deal… even comnpared to the JB Hifi price (which I also mentioned in my OP).

    Rang Panasonic, Wii bonus is not included with 2nds World purchases. Guy said yes at first, then said "hang on i'll ask someone." then he came back and said it's not available from 2nds World. So im not going to risk it, but 2nds world is pretty cheap. Caveat Emptor…..!

      2nds Worlds is DEFINITELY an authorised retailer for Panasonic.

      During the claim process for the Wii on the Panasonic website, there is a drop down box of retailers and 2nds World is even listed on it.

      Just in case, I even called Panasonic to confirm and they said it was.
