NiMH Batteries, What Are You Using It for?

Hi all… Like most others OzBargainers, I'm finally set with a some Nimh rechargeable batteries (AA, AAA, and D) and a smart charger (Xtar VC4). I had a deep thinking session and still can't find any use for those batteries.

Most of electronic devices nowadays either has proprietary batteries and come with their own chargers, or plug directly to power outlet.
I'm curious what are you using these batteries for?

My current usage are for wall clocks, bathroom scale, and TV remote, which I think doesn't really need rechargeable batteries at all.

I admit I don't use it. It's an impulse purchase

Kids toys, game controllers, camera speedlite, torches, etc. Buy more junk on OzBargain and you'll have plenty of devices to use them in… :)

  • Should have had a deep thinking session before purchase perhaps?

  • My Eneloops are used with my speedlights, with a few spare sets. I have resisted using them in keyboards, remotes etc but then again I may switch over when my current supply of alkalines are consumed.

  • Kids toys, remotes, bbq controller, various gadgets

  • Bicycle lights. Electric toothbrush. Wireless keyboard. TV remote. Game controllers. Maybe the electric toothbrush, bicycle lights needs rechargable, the rest are ok with normal batteries.

  • I use mine on my wireless mouse and QC25.

mouse, keyboard, remote, vibrators (need back up battery for the missis just in case)

  • Mostly AA & AAA for Game Controllers, Mouse, Keyboards, Remote Controls, Torches, clocks & Portable Radios.

And a few charged in reserve for times when they go flat whilst I'm using the device.
