i thinks all sit-ups will do is ruin your back

Good advice, think I'll stick to sitting on the lounge. Much safer.

      • +2

I also like doing sit-downs on the couch

And your neck too if you're doing it wrong

    • Agreed. I used to do sit-ups and planks for a core workout. Have recently changed to just doing plank variations. Back and core feel a lot better.

      • Well, imagine how much better you will feel if you stop that silly exercise completely.

    Looks shit.

I say this after using many exercise apps and only finding one out of all of them that wasn't annoying to use due to screen changing and entering data. Presumably this is enjoyable for people who want to not workout and get annoyed from their phone instead. These people often believe the app is going to cause their gains.

The one exercise app I use, Stronglifts 5x5, is basically automated. You touch the screen once between exercises. Everything else happens automatically including data entry and timers.

"Situps 0 to 200 is made by experts"

    Experts don't advise sit-ups ;)

  • Ab wheel + low body fat = abs.

    Nothing else needed.

  • There is nothing wrong with full sit ups if you are doing them correctly. In fact sit ups are require in most if not all physical ability exams in the army. However, it is definitely not the most effective way to get abs.

Do crunches and sit ups at your own peril.

I used to do sit-ups but do Kneeling Cable Crunches now as they're much more effective and safer. Obviously requires equipment / gym membership though.

      ^This.

Although sit-ups when performed on a decline bench are much safer than 'flat-ground' sit-ups.

Cable crunches, hanging leg raises, bicycles and roll-outs are some of my favourite ab exercises.

  • Do you still have to do the hard work of exercise or this app takes care of it?
