          I laughed at that link!

      • If you were running your website on managed WordPress hosting you could have easily updated it yourself.

          Hi Shaunpud,

I could certainly have made this change now but between you and I. At 10pm with a beer in my hand, I would rarther leave it for Rob in the morning who is currently in charge of the website!

    • The graph doesn't work it's just made up. Like the brilliant movie Toy Story.

      • You're on to us!

    • don't see how this graph works

It's not even a function; look at the line between the 13th and 14th data points!

This whole thing stinks of amateurs and empty promises. I'd stay away from this lot as if it were the plague.
They have 1 dns server. I can't see that 0 downtime guarantee working out too well.

Thanks for the tip Aneurism but we're happy to let our fellow disount seekers decide!

We're a group of industry experts who have come together from multiple well-known Australian hosting providers with a passion for hosting and WordPress management!

We know hosting, and we know how hosting should be done right with more than 60 years of combined experience in system administration, server management, development and support services between our core team members.

We don't just want people to take our word for it!

This is why we're offering 6 months free to anyone who may be looking for a new fully managed hosting provider so people can make that decision for themselves without being out of pocket!

Be respectful when posting comments like these. Remember that local industry needs to start somewhere.

To those of you who have already redeemed this offer and to those who are yet to, happy hosting!

  • Any plans to offer white label reselling?

I also wouldn't be willing to commit to anything without seeing much more detail on the hosting setup. Giving the amount of bandwidth and storge isn't enough. For a start, I'd assume this is all shared instead of dedicated hosting? So those unlimited inboxes aren't of much use once other customers on the shared server start spamming and get the shared server blacklisted (one of several reasons why I host my client email services separate to their web hosting). What about those who need dedicated IPs? What are the resource limits? Software versions? Which HTTP server? What data centre do you operate out of?

You talk about the industry's 'most aggressive' SLA, but it's only three 9s. And where is this actual SLA available to read? What exemptions and cavaets have you allowed yourselves (because the SLA % means nothing depending on the actual clauses in the SLA).

Personally, I'd love to see a great, locally hosted, managed WP hosting provider with reseller features and benefits, but at the moment your website has me feeling skittish. If you're new, obviously I can't go by reputation, so instead, give me heaps and heaps of info. Definitely made a good move by offering 6 months free (without needed CC too!). I'll likely give you a spin.

    • Hello Kapone,

Thank you for your questions and most importantly for the feedback!

I’m more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

Any plans to offer white label reselling?
In short, yes and hopefully very soon.

I also wouldn't be willing to commit to anything without seeing much more detail on the hosting setup. Giving the amount of bandwidth and storge isn't enough. For a start, I'd assume this is all shared instead of dedicated hosting?
Yes, this is cPanel based shared hosting.

So those unlimited inboxes aren't of much use once other customers on the shared server start spamming and get the shared server blacklisted (one of several reasons why I host my client email services separate to their web hosting).
We’re using an outbound email filtering device on all shared servers so blacklisting shouldn’t occur frequently. Further to this, if an IP is put on a blacklist we can switch the IP over on the fly to get your emails sending again immediately.

What about those who need dedicated IPs? What are the resource limits? Software versions? Which HTTP server? What data centre do you operate out of?
The cost for a Dedicated IP is $6 including GST per month however we do generally recommend that clients use SNI for their SSL installations. Most of our production servers are running Apache 2.4 with PHP 5.4 using suPHP however are you probably saw on our website, our newer servers are running CloudLinux and the current stable version of LSWS which enables you to select any version of PHP on a per account basis from within the cPanel interface. The resource restrictions set by CloudLinix can be obtained by submitting a support ticket from our website as this can differ per server. We generally prefer to run a larger number of smaller servers tailored for the websites and content on each server and therefore we don’t generally have load or other performance issues. Please keep in mind that this should be considered a fully managed service which is optimised for WordPress. The main difference between us and any shared provider is the content on the server and how the content is managed. Our team is responsible for keeping your website safe and fast, so it’s not usually a priority to provide the technical information to most clients as we’re generally targeting smaller business owners who have a WordPress website and just want somebody else to make it work and work fast without having to manage it themselves!

If you’re looking for a more standard hosting space where the technical specifications are outlined and your account shares it’s server with any software by using heavy resource management and restrictions, maybe Managed WP hosting isn’t for you!

You talk about the industry's 'most aggressive' SLA, but it's only three 9s. And where is this actual SLA available to read? What exemptions and cavaets have you allowed yourselves (because the SLA % means nothing depending on the actual clauses in the SLA).
Your feedback has made it blatantly clear to me that we’re definitely missing a lot of important information from our website. I’ll ensure Rob addresses these points on our website as soon as he has a moment of time to do so. I’m sorry about the inconvenience.

Personally, I'd love to see a great, locally hosted, managed WP hosting provider with reseller features and benefits, but at the moment your website has me feeling skittish. I look forward to working with you!

      • Your responses so far have been great and definitely have me feeling more comfortable about the whole thing.

My only other question at this point is about the technical side of 'managed WP hosting'. Would be interested to know more about what this covers in terms of security and performance functionality. As you'd know other managed WP hosts provide WP-specific caching and security solutions, staging servers, would that be the same for yourselves? I can't imagine you'd tick all those boxes at this price (and wouldn't expect you to). But if I were to host with you would I still be needing to look at installing iThemes Security, W3 Cache, etc?

  • Hi kapone,

    Thank you for your patience.

More on this to come shortly!
