    10x Bulla $0.29

    That's a lot of Bulla !!!

    • +3

Actually, it's .29c or $.029 per box as per the ad. :)

      • Well spotted. Can we hold them to it lol?

        • No but that wont stop us coming back to this post to whinge about them baiting and switching and threaten to report them to ACCC!

          Win-win!

        Even better:

        .29c = $0.0029

I'm sorry but what's NQR stores?

      • Thank you brother! Never knew these existed.

        • +4

These stores have existed since the time of Moses!

Funny how now they don't tell you what NQR stands for anywhere on their site.

        • @blahman: Stands for Not Quite Right

        • @malouphix: Thanks Captain Obvious

        • @blahman: I was surprised that up until a few years ago NQR deals flew under the radar (not that the deals would have helped me in Sydney). You would imagine a clearance supermarket would appear here all the time.

Wow we got a freezer full of those Bulla icy poles when they were 69c
they're good for kids as they're tiny & basically frozen orange or stawberry cordial on a stick.

  • Paid $3 for a box of 10 Bulla at Woolies at half price and I thought it was a good deal!

  • +2

Just in case it's not clear they are Bulla Icy Poles which are NOT the ones often half price at Coles/Woolworths. Those usually are ice cream or froyo.

    • I've got some left in the freezer from NQR.
They are, as Suppabrudda said: "frozen orange or stawberry cordial on a stick."

      • Yeah, I've got a box of the sherbet as well as a box of the sour variety still (apple, raspberry and pineapple I think). Meant to reply to DarkOz!

  • Thanks TA, perfect for a summer school fundraiser (If you have the freezer space). The Icy Poles arent too bad (I paid 69c a few weeks back) but at 29c you cant go wrong. Cheaper than Zooper Doopers!

  • Wish they had branches in other states too

In Adelaide we have "Rite Price" which is basically exactly the same thing - even the specials are usually pretty similar (although I haven't been to my local Rite Price for a few weeks now, to check).

  • So down there at 9am tomorrow

  • Great price on the Bulla Fruity Pops but with my luck, there will be no stock when I go into store.

    • I'll be heading to Coburg, but not until after 4 so you should have more luck than me lol. Where's your closest store?

      • +1

I shop at nqr quite often, usually Boronia / Lilydale / Kilsyth, and they always seem to have a large amount of stock of their advertised specials, so hopefully this will be no different.

        • +1

          Fingers crossed.

        • No MCs at Lilydale last night, but all the others were there.

  • Get the sour ones imo, the sherbet ones are tasteless.

Not that it really matters for 30c…

  • Sunshine NQR had only the Cherry Ripe bars left (+ 2 tubs of the Cadbury vanilla) a couple of hours ago. They said they were expected a delivery, but didn't know when.

  • Hey so just out of interest I was trying to think of all the reasons food would be sold at NQR. Says on their website - "Suppliers to NQR prefer to see their groceries being used and recycled than being unnecessarily wasted." So its obvioulsy stuff they would normally throw away but theyre selling it to NQR to make some money off of it rather than throwing it away. So brainstorming reasons food would be sold here:

    • A lot of stuff at these stores seems to be close to due by or passed it

    • A company makes too many products for an order so they sell the surplus to NQR

    • Stuff up the ingredients eg. put too much BBQ flavouring on those BBQ chips??

    Hmm what else? Ideas??

      Some being for import/export?
