Excellent IPX7 Speaker that I have never seen on special before. Interestingly UMART now stocks them for $259, previously JB HiFi were the only distributor for $294.

  • Seems ok, but I'd be shopping for a UE mega boom instead. It comes down to whether you prefer a speaker that can charge itself on USB (UE) or one that can charge other stuff (braven).

    • yeah, i guess the Braven price drop makes it a little bit more competitive if you dont want to spend the extra cash for the UE. As you say the charger is a good addition for those that want it.

I have been following this speaker for many months and this is afaik the first price drop I have seen.

      • Cheapest I have seen since last December, dollar has fallen a long way since then so good deal.

Horses for courses between this and Mega Boom, which has been on offer at similar prices.

    • This or JBL charge 2 ?

  • I picked one up last November for 220 from jb. I was also tossing up between the UE. I was not disappointed, amazing sound and I used it for a 9 hour drive in a truck when it died in the last 10 minutes of the trip.

  • Not a huge difference, but looks like you can get this from Myer for $220.20 with the current 15% off code (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/211017)
