LASERARSE

Excited to get a relative newcomer on board, and what a deal to start with. $0.01 gets you 3x finger laser beams, complete with batteries, that the kids are going to love. Fair to say the imagination ran wild with possible coupon codes, but I had to keep it clean lol. Simply add the item to the cart, go to the cart, apply coupon LASERARSE, and check out with PayPal or CC. These will be dispatched tomorrow, but patience with delivery as always from China. Limited to 1360 packs, and only 1 pack per customer. Good luck, and enjoy :)

Won't be chasing a refund but what a waste of time.
Nicely packed but thick layer of dust on the item.
None worked out the packing. . Half an hour of cleaning and nine batteries later, all working. Fibre assembly won't stay on. Super glued. Now the fibres themselves falling off. More marketing harm than good.

  • Same here all 3 DOA. Gutted, was keen for rave :3

Just got mine today. None work. Absolute garbage!!

  • Package came destroyed. Only one works after banging it on the kitchen bench.

    Mod: Personal attack/inappropriate comment removed.

A cheap and low way to market their store.

    • A cheap way to kill any future business too

  • Rubbish, will never buy anything from these guys ever again. Package cut and opened and inside all rusted.

Guys, all I can do is apologise for the 'crap' this store has sent us. I've made it clear to the rep I'll no longer be posting for them. Even at $0.01, this is just not good enough, especially for a store trying to establish a good reputation on OzB.

      No one blames you TA.
Sounded like a cheap fun offer worth posting :-(
      EcoolBuy blew it.

    • No Sweat.

Package came destroyed. Noone works of them.
The parcel required a signature, in addition spent time to pick it up from the post :(

Got last week and all worked, though tops tended to fall off.

Now out of the blue they refunded, I guess because of the other comments above.

  • got mine, 2 of 3 worked, package opened in transit, they were falling apart, bits of thin plastic everywhere, threw in bin before kids got to see them.
the refund of 2c was the best part of this deal ..

The company must feel sorry about this they just refunded my $0.01. Didn't get my item and didn't complain so maybe they are refunding everyone?

    • +5

Yes they are. Received a PM & email of apology from ECoolBuy. Refunds for all.

      • Just got mine too…..yay

  • Mine arrived
    Package open
    Haven't tested them…

Didn't understand why I got a refund today.. After reading this is I do.

No rave party for me .. (Although I could be lucky and they might work.. I).

If they do, it'll be a party of one ;)

Also got a refund . Did not request it.

  • I too got a refund, which I didn't request. I almost feel bad for 'em now.

  • Wow, all of mine didn't work. Some batteries corroded. Damn ecoolbuy, not the best move sending this crap out.

    • Did you get your refund? Everyone should have done so by now.

      • +4

        Won't bother checking . that's my 2cents.

        (Play on words)

Just got an email offering $2 credit… So what $2 deal can you find TA :) (other than 600 laser fingers)…

    • +3

Just got that email too. They're really trying hard to right things. Maybe they deserve a second chance?

  • Got refund, would still give them second chance I guess

  • +1

Likewise, got a refund from them even without a request. Shame their reputation is already tainted so people will be wary when buying stuff from them in future but at least now it doesn't seem like a total scam.

Btw, no one blames you TA. You weren't the seller anyways and merely posted a deal.

  • Wow just got an unexpected email about a refund. I would give them a second chance since they tried to amend thing.

  • Got an apology email, a refund and a $2 coupon code

Kudos to them for taking responsibility and more, I personally didn't care that much anyways since it was only 1c, but definitely surprised at the response and for that I'd give them a second chance

Hope to see another great deal soon

  • Got a refund on two accounts. 2 worked, 1 dimly and 3 none at all. Appears someone opened both packets. Little bit disappointing they were LEDS not lasers.

  • Cant believe they refunded me the 1c, they could of kept it, i pulled them apart and salvaged the LED's for my arduino. They did suck though, only one worked and that was only after hitting it a few times on the bench.

  • I'll be removing my neg now that the store has gone ahead and made amends.

    • Good point. I'm reconsidering my neg.

It shows the power of valid criticism / negs (and I'd guess some work behind the scenes by TA) to bring about resolution ;-)

Still a sales business with so little quality control as to send out so many defective products, with damaged packaging, without someone noticing is not one I would trust.

In business (as in life), it is far better to prevent a problem, than try to rebuild reputation later. This merchant has done well in restoring confidence for many.

As such, a neg to indicate to future buyers there has been a problem in quality control with this merchant is probably more helpful than removing it.

      (165 +, 2 revoked +, 1 neg)

  • Has anyone found anything interesting to spend their us$2 on?

I can't even find how to search their site, but that may be a browser specific issue.

Prices seem steep for what little is on offer.

Site seems to have a small selection of products under a few categories.

Items like their current bargain under electronics category "latest aluminium alloy flashlight watch with compass" at au$30 does not inspire the shrieks of "cool" of the reviewers. Who straps a torch, then a basic watch & very basic compass to a band mounted on your wrist & thinks that's a design breakthrough? Better be quick, it will sell out ;-)

Or maybe a 4-in-1 car vacuum cleaner in Gold! for only $56!!
It's a Car vacuum cleaner + LED light + tire gauge + air pump
    And it's GOLD!

  • And one of their other deals here was removed as unsafe product!

Then there was the incomprehensible deal Four-Leaf Human Body Induction Motion Sensor LED Night Lamp $15.27 USD.

So be careful when spending your us$2.
