Your LASERARSE money could feed some rural Chinese family of 3 for a week

  • How is it even possible for them to sell these for 1cent?
Do they get 10 for 1 cent or something.
How can something cost nothing to make, cant get my head around it!

    • +1

they'd likely sell at a loss, but use this as a way to increase traffic to their website. Which results in sales increase and repeat customers.

  • +1

    Stereosonic here I come!

  • Ordered. Cheap way to get some temporary LED lighting on a quadcopter without soldering / drawing down on lipo battery.

  • Out of stock.

Bought some to use for photography.

    Cheers :)

  • Wonder how many people ended buying more than they should? Looks like the bait worked 3000 clicks. Obviously more than 1000 people ended up buying other stuff, least these guys made there money back from their loss from these lasers.

    • Why obviously? I ordered this item only and didn't even bother looking at anything else on the website and never will unless I see something for 1c listed on here again.

  • -1

This laser apparatus looks dangerous and will not get passed Australian customs. Even if you get lucky and receive this apparatus you might lose a finger or two.

  • These are sold on all bargain stores like dollar king, 123 dollar shop, $2 shop, the reject shop, doubt there will be any issues through customs, and obviously eBay Australia.

  • +1

1360 packs sold in 180 minutes. That's 1 every 8 seconds. The power of OzB :)

    • +1

And 1 second after receiving item

Ppl will throw it in their pile of useless junk

      • I won't. My daughter will love them.

        • +1

Sorry tightarse, but non functioning crap like this (flat corroded batteries) with button cells & tiny parts - that can easily be removed from product with potential catastrophic consequences if swallowed, aren't really good for anyone or the planet :-(

Shortest product cycle of any gadget in my home - bypassed 'useless junk pile' & went straight in rubbish bin within minutes. Didn't even keep the LEDs for reuse.

  • +1

    Pew pewwww pew!

  • have sharks…. now with Freaking Laser Beams Attached To Their Heads!!!!

  • Mine arrived this morning, unfortunately with corroded button cells, so no rave review from me.

    • Hello,Thrift.

I am sorry to hear that, but any problems can send email to our custormer service:[email protected] will take further action about the problem.Hope we can help.

      Thanks

      • +1

Thanks for the offer, but for $0.01 I'm not really complaining. The "no rave review" was an attempt at subtle humour, meaning due to the batteries I won't be using these at a rave party.

        • Thank you,Thrift.

        • @Newfrog.Official: I was pleasantly surprised at how fast they arrived :)

        • @Thrift: Generally speaking, the delivery time is about 20-30 business days.

    • Mine arrived corroded too. What a shame :(

    • But you still have kept your + vote on this crap deal?

      • C'mon, it was $0.01 delivered and arrived fast. I cleaned up the battery terminals and replaced the cells and they work (as well as they ever will). The rep quickly offered to try and resolve issues.

I still feel for $0.01 it qualifies as a bargain.

        • Yes, speed of delivery in a popular deal & price were good. And good rep has stuck around in deal - very unusual in a deal like this.

I wasn't being that serious that you should withdraw your vote, just following up on your "no rave review" comment ;-)

All my batteries were dead or just showing a slight charge on the meter. Cleaning corrosion had no effect except wasting my time - batteries were dead or nearly so. Deal now bound for toxic landfill.

Also product would probably not meet safety standard for sale in Australia (button cells & small parts could lead to death in children).

So for many, by the look of comments, would mean buying new batteries for a product of little value.

Don't know why a business would go to the expense of delivering a product that was beyond its use by date. Not a business I would support, at any price. I respect your choice.

        • @Infidel: If they had of stated in the product description "slightly moisture damaged packaging, some corroded batteries, might clean up good and work with a fresh set of batteries - only $0.01" people would still probably buy them up :)

I'd certainly feel different if I paid US$4 for them. I see they've removed the product page.

And I agree it's not a great experience for introducing the company, but then, Microsoft always introduced Windows with a blue screen of death and they did alright ;)

        • @Thrift:
          True, true ;-)

It's the lack of transparency in product description that was my reason for neg. It's a failed product as supplied. That says a lot about the reputation of this merchant, in deals worth much more than this.

They dumped an unmercandisable product on us. But at 1 or 2c, no ones going to be that upset.

If we knew of lack of battery charge & corrosion issues, there would be no problem & many would have still bought at 1c, as you wrote.

Unfortunately, I would not trust the merchant in future deals, based on this experience.

Lol. I'll send a neg to MS ;-)

        • Rep offering to rectify is no excuse. They would of known products were all defects before even offering it to ozbargain, now they have our details for further marketing spam which would have been the whole point of this excercise.

I would never have paid anything to have rubbish shipped to me no matter what the cost was, especially that with corroded batteries. I would neg this to oblivion but don't know how to retract.

  • Still waiting for mine. Had anyone received theirs?

    • Hello,wing32.

Could you please offer your order No. or transaction ID so that we can check it.Thanks.

      • Hi,

        Here's my transaction id : 3FT62278C81436247

        Thanks

        • Hello,wing32.

We have checked, but found nothing. Please send email to our custormer service:[email protected] will take further actions of your order. Thanks.

        • @Newfrog.Official:

          I've emailed. Thanks

  • You are welcome.Hope can help.

  • +1

Newfrog rep, please respond to comments directly, using the reply button. Thank you!

    • I did.Maybe made a mistake.:)

  • OK, mine arrived today. The red one works but it has a green LED unlike the photo. The blue one has corroded batteries and the green one was broken in the packet with the white part not even attached to the led… Quality item.

  • Got it yesterday, packaging so shit that that when you opened it the cardboard got stuck on the thing thats supposed to light up.

    only one actually lit up.

  • +1

got these today, two would not even light up and had corroded batterys, the third lit up very dimly, overall just ended up chucking em, for 2 cents its no big lose but is a shoddy product at best. best to avoid from this place.

  • +1

2 didn't light up. 3rd one worked for about 15secs!. I'm gutted!!. Should we all contact PayPal for a refund???

  • -1

    complete with batteries

Like others, 2 had corroded dead batteries, red led worked dimly sometimes - possible faulty switch.

the kids are going to love

    Nope, Nope, Nope!

I've introduced the product to the rubbish bin. I think it will fit in fine at the dump. Pity about the planet with junk like this.

    Product packaging was falling apart.

    Really a crap deal.
Why would any one think this is a good way to introduce potential customers to their business??
Wouldn't bother with this merchant again.

  • +2

Please remove the batteries before you toss it and drop them in at Aldi for recycling.
There is a recycling bin at the front where you pack your groceries.
Batteries should never be thrown out in the normal garbage.

    • +1

Yes, disassembled & my batteries were actually waiting safely until I had others to drop off somewhere.

Keep button cells away from children - can cause death if swallowed!!

Never noticed it at local Aldi's - so will check it out.

      Thanks again, luke73 :-)

    • +1

Aldi do have battery recycling bin at packing area. Saw it today.

    • +3

Great advice, however you're not meant to put button cells in Aldi's bins, just the "really common" types:

Whilst any brand of battery can be brought back, only AA, AAA, C, D and 9V sized batteries (rechargeable and non- rechargeable) are accepted through the program.

For automotive, button and other battery sizes, please visit RecyclingNearYou.com.au to find your nearest drop off point.

Battery World take all kinds, also IKEA take all non-rechargables.

      Find you closest drop offs:
      http://recyclingnearyou.com.au/batteries/

It's worth doing the right thing, those landfills will one day be parks for your grandkids.

      • +1

        Thanks Thrift.
I was wondering that. Image on the recycling barrel only indicated the types mentioned.

I still have the dead batteries from this deal :)

At least this deal may have a positive outcome - knowing where to safely dispose of these toxic batteries & the risk of death if swallowed.

  • Same-same, received mine only 1 work huh
