I'm sorry, but Geriatric Gerry Harvey is sorely mistaken if he thinks this is a bargain.

    (Probably cheaper at GearBest anyways)…

    • +8

But it has a FREE stand!

      • +14

        That's good!

        The stand is also cursed…

        That's bad!

        • +1

But it comes with a free frogurt!

    • +5

Does it come with a 4WD

  • +5

Finally get me 3 screens for gaming ;)

  • +14

    That is the RRP.

    No Bargain listed.

    • +26

But you get the free stand?! Did your tv come with a free stand??

      • +23

Mine came with a free hdmi cable valued at $200. ;)

        • diamond plated?

        • The budget one! Bah!

      • +1

        had me at free

  • Is the TV frame made out of gold? cause i don't see how they can justify that price based on the tech inside.

    • +3

I was planning to get the wall done. Now I can just replace it with this tv

  • +7

This really has economies of scale issues
    The 84" is only $13,999

  • +4

Another 3 years or so and your you will be able to pick these up for 6k if that

    • +5

they'll be obsolete by then, replaced by 4d 8k 102" screen with 20 core cpu which should be good enough for full hd content

    • Genuinely doubt it will drop that much that quick, esp given the dollar the way it is.

      Maybe $10-15k

  • +3

I assume this is a joke post. It's $0.99 less than RRP.

    • +8

Its hardley normal, be thankful for the 99c Remember Gerry is doing it tough!

    • +1

get it now before the extra 5% gst hike

  • +2

4 top of the line 50 inch 1080p tv monitors (to be arranged in a grid) + a strong computer to drive it all even cost less than this.

    • +1

Or just use video wall panels and forgo the need for the computer

  • +6

Can I use this as my work monitor and claim it on tax ?

  • +5

Easy payments of $800/month. Literally more than my home loan haha

    • +8

Geez I want your home loan.

    • +3

Your home loan is $200 a week?

      • +7

Unit in Wollongong. Not everyone needs to live in an inner Sydney shitbox for 1.2 Mil

        • +1

Nice. I live in Adelaide, but I can imagine I'd need to sell my family's kidneys just for a deposit in Sydney.

      • Your home loan is $200 a week?

Normal for anyone who bought their home before prices went ballistic. Even in inner Sydney.

        • +1

I would have thought the inner Sydney prices still would have been a good half mill or more back then, making an average weekly loan payment maybe around $500?

        • @Chickenleg:
OK, I just checked the numbers - it was around 2000 when things got silly, but Sydney was already approaching $300k median.
So I will correct my post to "except Sydney" :-)

    • +5

Do you live in a storage unit?

      • +18

Probably lives in an empty box from a 98" TV?

        • +1

And cheaper as well. If dont like the neighbours move the empty box to another park…..

  • +9

Thanks OP. Got one for the kids room.

    • +4

Thanks OP. Got one for the RV

      • +7

Thanks OP. I'm putting mine outside near the garden. Keeps the dogs entertained… They like to watch Dr Harry Cooper.

    • +39

Thanks OP, got one for my cars reverse cam

      • hahhahahahahaha

      • +1

        Did you replace the roof?

        • the shame I feel when I have to admit my car is really a mountain bike 8^(

        • Mountain bike is better. Cheaper, keeps you fit/healthy and keeps your immune system trained (rain, cold weather). Who lives longer and stays healthy? The one who always drives with the car or the one who always rides the bike?

        • @liquid metal:
sure, but have you ever pedaled into a headwind with a 98" TV strapped to your handlebars?

        • +1

Just change direction and use the TV as a sail.

    • Thanks OP, got one for my dream

  • Hrmmmm wrx or TV decisions decisions.

    • +8

tv + xbone + forza 6 = wrx and more

      • Doesn't give you the geeee, mate

  • anyone bought the 65" aldi one yet?

  • +1

    That's standard price. No deal.

  • +1

agree not a deal just standard price but nice to know there is such a product I will never buy.

  • +4

I'll wait a few years and get one off gumtree for $200.

  • +1

How and the hell did it end up here?

    • +1

Highly suspect it's a joke post to highlight the ridiculous price.

  • +9

Bought one 2 weeks ago for $39950.

    This isn't a bargain

  • Get a projector instead.

  • +16

Don't forget your $25 voucher if you sign up to the newsletter…..

  • +7

Free stand? Its like throwing in a pack of M&M's when buying a house

    • +35

      Link?

  • Is Harmon Kardon coming wid the TV for that price?
    Still no bargain.

  • Really?

  • +3

Pretty sure I saw this at $30000 at my local HN.

  • +2

I refuse to pay for delivery. ..will this fit in my golf?

    • +2

Should fit with ease. I got mine in the smart car ok

    • +1

      course? Yes.

    • Just buy something bulky from Bunnings and borrow a trailer

  • wut

  • Wait on, this is LED not OLED. Would not buy

    • +5

      its Oh LED

  • What's their returns policy? It would be cool to buy this just to have it for a week or so, then return it for change of mind reasons and get that money back… Aldi lets you do it for 60 days, Dell 14 days, what about Harvey Norman?

    • +1

      From HN website:
Please choose carefully as refunds are not normally provided where you have simply changed your mind, made a wrong selection or simply found the goods cheaper elsewhere. We recommend you carefully preview any orders before adding them to your shopping cart and proceeding with your order.

      • +3

Thanks, guess I'll have to take my $40k elsewhere then, too bad HN.

      • made a wrong selection

        "But I thought I was getting a 98cm Soniq for $399.99!!!"

    • I think they would 'vet' the buyers just to ensure this doesn't happen.

  • Nice find tomwood 😉

  • +1

    Bargain!

Just need a house to fit in first!

    • +2

Buy 4 of these and you have the walls sorted out.

  • +2

Was thinking about buying a new car but then decided this TV is incredible value and the seller is a trusted Ozbargainer who never cancels deals.

  • +5

Thanks OP. Bought one as a room divider.

  • +7

Hell yeah! Bought 5 and built a house out of them.

  • +3

    I can't believe these exist.

You could do a renovation in your house adding an actual cinema room with an awesome 4k projector, cinema chairs and the works for the cost of this TV.

    • +1

I was thinking the same thing. I'd rather go the projector. Hell… I get $4.50 cinema tickets so… that's 8888 times I can go to the cinema for the same cost.

  • +1

Funny post or what? Why is this post allowed? Not a bargain!

  • +1

Thanks OP, just in time for the Grand Final. Very good deal indeed, I just need to make sure to hit lotto jackpot within 24 Months Interest Free – With No Payments.

  • +4

You can tell which ozb members dont possess a sense of humor pretty quickly can't you…

FREE STAND! And ive been waiting for this to come down ever since it was $39,999.99… Now I can sit on the road and watch TV through my front windows!

  • Aldi will have one for $3999 soon

    • +1

When it is $39.99 at Aldi, and they have actual physical stock, let me know.

  • If you have a look at Free to Air TV offerings before going and signing up for one (or more) or these
you will probably forget the whole thing.

If you drive and can afford to run a https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Holden_vehicles_by_nam… well you probably have already ordered a few…

  • Thanks OP. Got 3for a drive in cinema that I am planning to open

  • WebOS has not been seen since the Hp Touchpad

    Ruthless People classic scene: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mNzr6lfiHJE

Ken Kessler: Check it out, my man! This is the Dominator X-10. Thirty inches of thigh-slapping, blood-pumping, nuclear brain damage!
Heavy Metal Kid: Bitchin'! Hey, what's it (profanity) cost?
Ken Kessler: That's the bitchin' part about it! It don't matter! If you can't afford it, (profanity) FINANCE IT!
    [turns it on]
Ken Kessler: So what if it's as big as a Subaru and costs as much? You'll never have to trade this in! This is gonna be with you for the rest of your life! And when you die, they can BURY you in it!

    • Like all those people hanging onto rear projection TV's because they spent so much and modified their lounge room so much just to have it

      • +1

        ? …. I still have a 55" rear projection tv somewhere….

      • Still got mine, not because I spent so much (got it for nada) or modified the lounge room. It's because I don't know what to do with the damn thing ! (removal/disposal)

  • This will go good with my $200 netbook.

  • only 12 months warranty?
    what a let down!

  • does it have scart input? if not then no deal.

    • It better have HDMI 2!
