Has anyone here bought a new Mini Cooper in the past year or so?

Hey,

Just wondering whether anyone here has bought a new Mini Cooper in the past year or so?

My wife is thinking about buying one, but they only have three dealerships in Sydney. I'm used to buying from more mainstream brands where it's easy to play dealers off to get a great price.

It seems much less likely to get a discount on the published drive away price from Mini, is that true?

cheers.

I haven't bought one since 2010, but i was surprised what a good deal I got. It probably depends which model you are after. Stay away from the One for the love of God. A few thousand extra will see you in the base Cooper, which is really nice these days. The previous model was gutless in the base model.

Aim for 20% off and move your way up. I got about $6000 off my Cooper D and free servicing for three years. Walk away a couple of times to gauge their interest. Or use a car broker if you really need to.

Why would anyone want a mini cooper? Small enough to do bad in crashes. Get a bigger vehicle that's a hybrid or something.

Contact autoexpert.com .au and get Ben to get a price for you. But do this when you are ready to buy. Test drive one first

    • Do they charge a commission? Sounds like a good service…
