Best Place to Buy Clothing (Men)

Hello there Ozbargainers!

I'm look for the best place to find clothing, whether that be online or in a actual store etc. I'm not looking for designer brands just cheap, good looking clothing for a young adult. In particular long sleeve shirts, jackets and tank tops.

Thank you for your help :)

I buy my clothes from a mish-mash of places. But the trick to good prices is to only buy during seasonal sale periods.

ASOS used to be pretty good. Can be very pricey most of the time, but sometimes there are decent deals. http://www.asos.com/au/

ICONIC for mid-to high range clothing, buy during a sale https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/211632

Uniqlo has decent prices, but their range is small. They don't do very big %off sales, mostly because they already have fairly low prices.

JeansWest — join up as a member and you'll get $10 dollar voucher, and only buy from them during their big 30% off sales. This happens very frequently. For maximum savings, buy during a 40% off sale.

FinalDays — it's a direct factory outlet, you can find em' at Birkenhead outlet at Drummoyne. This shopping centre also has a tonne of other outlet stores.

SportsDirect as the name implies, it's all sports clothing, for bargain bin prices (like tops for $5, pants for $10 etc.) Shipping is free if you manage to buy over $100 in one transaction.

Feeling brave? Try Aliexpress. Due to currency exchange rates it's harder to find bargains, but it's still quite popular. Keep in mind they use asian sizing, so buy one size up.

All expensive overpriced clothing with sub-par quality. They have nice shop fronts to lure you in and big sales signs but much of their clothing is junky.

If bought during a sale, I don't see a problem shopping from these three. It's not like Asos or Jeanswest are the pinnacle of quality or fashion either… (and I say that as someone who owns a fair bit of Jeanswest clothing)

These shirts are only nice the first wear. After they're washed, then they're horrible to iron.
        They rarely come good again!

  • i find that uniqlo, ctshirts (when they have their regular sales ~$40 delivered) and zara are all at a good price/style/quality ratio. This is for my earning level anyway.

  • I think the best place is David Jones, they got every different brand there :)

You would have to be a lemming or a sheep to buy the garbage for sale in retail shops.
Australian retail clothes are an embarrassment.
Not only is it overpriced it's 1 year behind the fashions from the first world.

I buy all my designer clobber from ebay usa, vintage and cheaper than you could be for in oz.
Last year I got a 1 off vintage lamb skin leather jacket (no name brand) for $60AUS delivered.
How much would even the cheapest lamb skin leather jacket in an Australian shop cost?

Ebay usa and vinnies in good suburbs like Neutral Bay, Rozelle, Lane Cove etc.

I like the JUST JEANS shirts. You can find bargains at their Outlet Stores. Less than half price than their normal retail store.
For jeans, try Levi's. They occasionally have B1G1F so 2 pairs of jeans for $100 and it's Levi's.

Check out the Myer racks which have "take a further 50% off the reduced marked price". You will always find a bargain in these racks, what ever isn't sold tend to have take a further 75% at the end of the sale period.. Good luck
