No projectors in Sydney CBD, just checked them all

    • If it says shop in store avaliable in store now is that an accurate stock level or are they just saying you can't buy it online? My nearest OW is far away in regional NSW.

      • +1

No its not accurate. I went into a few stores that say they may have stock or limited call and none have. They even checked other stores and no luck.

        • Yes it could be a stock discrepancy. Always call first!

  • +2

Sometimes it's marked in stock but they are holding for others…. that happened to me with the cheap ladder recently.

  • Glen Waverley has some. I have asked for a hold.

The guy said its also cheaper at $247. Better ring to double confirm.

  • Is it a decent projector though?

    • For what? Classroom? Office? Home theatre? Games? Movies?

      It's not HD or anything…

      • +2

So basically only good for showing a power point presentation in the office…

HD should probably be a minimum requirement these days unless you don't care about quality.

  • New to projector, is Native Resolution 800 x 600 ok?

    • What for?

Watching DVDs? Playing Gamecube? Sales presentations? Yes.

Watching blu-rays? Modern gaming? Not really.

      • For movies/tv. 720 or 1080.

        • +3

Not much good for that. It's not HD.

          720p means 1280 x 720.

          1080p means 1920 x 1080.

This unit is 800 x 600. So, much lower resolution than even 720p content.

        • @mgowen:

Yep, I thought so too. Thanks for confirming.

There is none in North Sydney, I called this morning at 7:30am and the stock levels are incorrect. They have none.

      • +1

Not surprised. Stock accuracy in stores is quite ordinary at best… Hopefully, most are calling up the store before rocking up to avoid disappointment.

  • Sometimes "in stock" can also refer to a damaged item that is awaiting return to the manufacturer.

This happened to me when I was after a particular printer. It was sitting in the back room but hadn't been taken off the system.

    • Yep, thats the North Sydney story

      • And Wetherill Park and Auburn…

    This was $358 once…

  • All these comments and not one about the activity tracker, does that make it a POS?

    • I bought the tracker to meaure the amount of steps I've taken to find the projector…

      • Lol, best thing to do is ask FB Officeworks to find which stores across Aus have them, they seem to know :)
