Looking to pick up some Timberlands. Any bargains?

Been looking to pick up some Timberlands for a while, but the RRP of $280 seems a bit excessive, I feel as if I could get a bargain if I hunt around, being the true OzBargainer I am. :)

I've heard of friends getting some for $100-150 from Groupon/Scoopon(?) but I've never used either of those, so I don't have a clue about them. I've seen deals for 20% off at retailers e.g Platypus, but I still feel like it would be possible to get them cheaper somehow.

Any input or anecdotal information would be much appreciated, thanks!

Not sure if it makes a difference, but I am looking for a women's size 7-8.

  • Just wait for a good deal to come out. I usually stake out for the deals for SurfStitch or UO.

I bought a pair of timberlands for UO a few months ago when they had their 50% off sale items. Ended up getting a pair for $40USD.

Both sites are great and delivery usually come within a week or two.

    • Sorry, what's UO? I'd sure love some for $40USD wow.

Recently-ish there was the 20% off all of Westfield weekend, and a separate 20% off sale items at Platypus (there's one in Westfield), pretty peeved I didn't jump on that. :(

      • Urban Outfitters.
SurfStitch currently has a 30% off for sale shoes but, unfortunately, there were no Timbs. :(.
I suggest that you just wait. Maybe they'll have a sale soon.

        • Alright I guess I'll keep an eye out - do they have such sales often? Also, just wondering if the Tims you received were genuine? Thanks :)

  • Cotd was running them out recently, have a look there.

also, did Wu-tang just let you in?

    • Are the ones from COTD genuine? I was having a peek but they specified they were made in China - not sure if that's normal or not.

Wu-tang? I'm.. I'm not entirely sure. Maybe the thug life chose me?

      • +1

No idea sorry, ask the RZA maybe?

      • i bought mine back in 2007 when i thought i was black. don't know if they changed factory but mine are definitely genuine($280 back then) made in Dominican Republic

    • Looks like a fair price. Do you know if those are genuine?

      • Sorry not sure, if they are on scoopon there is a good chance they should be
