20% off Alpine Car Audio at JB Hi-Fi

110

JB Hi-Fi are doing 20% off of their Alpine car audio range.

Seems as though the prices are truly 20% off their regular price for most items, unfortunately the Alpine IVE-W554ABT headunit was jacked up from $568 to $642 within the last couple days, a bit of a Dick (Smith) move on JB's part.

Note that all Alpine products are available for pick up in store only (can buy online, no delivery).

  • Still a bit expensive, even with 20% off, For example, The cheapest Alpine bluetooth model is $207.20. Compared to $179 for Pioneer and $158 for the Kenwood which are better value.

May well be cheaper but Alpine is regarded as higher end. Pioneer and Kenwood (like all Car Audio) has dropped in quality.

    • Actually pay $27 more and get the w264ebt, it got 9band parametric Eq, 3 ways crossover, time correction, 6ch+4v preout.

  • Alpine Type R speakers can be bought from Ryda for less, ie: http://www.ryda.com.au/alpine-spr-60-6-5-car-speakers at $167 everyday v $183 at JB.
$177 delivered but it gets better if you buy 4 speakers or a headunit etc as postage stays the same.

The S series SPS610 is $127 at JB, $88 at Ryda.

Alpine gear was very popular in the 90's. Ive still got 2 Alpine AMP's (from a set of 3) that were bought in the mid-90's. 1 still works, the other worked when it was last used, 8 years ago.

    • Had a few myself that lasted a long time. Very popular in the 2000s too.
