I though this was worthy of a separate post.

Love to stock up on tea when it is half price.

100 pack for $10.50 (at Woolies)… $6 at Costco (if you buy 3 packs for $18).
Does anyone buy the 10 pack?

    • yes.
you mean 80pack right? (it goes down to about $5 on special at woolies)

I buy 80pack for assam which I drink often and 10 packs of various herbals and other flavours for occasional use.

The tea bags in the 10 pack are individually-wrapped, useful for some situations.

      Dilmah vs Twinings ?

How one can even compare these teas?

Twinings decaf is made in China :) (but I suppose China is where tea should come from)

  • Guys seriously, if you're not a tea drinker (or don't have other halves who are tea drinkers), maybe not the place to chip in :-)

Saying just buy Dilmah is like telling a Coca Cola drinker to just buy Coles cola since it's half the price.

There are teas like Lady Grey which I can no longer find in 100 packs, but are easy to find in 10 packs.

Also, 10 packs are individually wrapped and stay fresh. You don't want to take ages to finish a 100 pack, they just don't taste the the same after being open for a while.

10 packs let you sample many types - you don't have the dilemma of 'should I open a 100 pack', if you want to sample a different type of tea.

  • Lady Grey is one of my favourite teas.

So sad that Twinings is made in China.

    So torn.

    • excuse my ignorance, but what is wrong with made in China.

Is is about quality or supporting local or something else?

      and Lady Grey is great.

      • Just food safety/ethics and environmental concerns. Personally prefer to avoid when possible. Local is always preferable.

Lady Grey with a bit of honey and milk is amazing :)
