  • Placed the order, thanks op!

no USB ports , bit of a bummer

    • I know right! I guess it's a bit like the new MacBook, we need to have some sort of adapter to connect standard usb powered devices.
I guess at least there's Bluetooth to use mouse etc.

  • Great deal. Similar to the new macbook but half the price!

  • Thanks OP, got one. Hope they won't run out of stuck - had to pick delivery as most shops showed no stock.

  • Note that this has 1920x1080 res rather than the 2560x res in the gizmodo review

    • Still cheapest by far. Including delivery, before cashrewards, it's $604. Next cheapest is around $900 at Hardly Normal. So even before the 30% off, they have the cheapest price in Australia. I reckon it's great value; CPU is on par with a Surface Pro i5 model, but this actually comes with a keyboard included.

Definitely still a bargain, agreed! Just thought i'd let people know :)

        • Fair point. It's confusing how they have different versions without making it clear this is so. Some have 8GB, some 4GB, some FHD or not, and apparently some have AC wireless (some only 'n').

        • @Make it so: some have different processors also

  • Good price. Bought one. Thanks.

  • Was very tempted and believe this is a very good price for what you get. Battery life threw me off in the end, less than 6 hours is not enough for me personally. Otherwise great deal!

  • Excellent price, ~$573 after 2.5% cashrewards. BUT I will wait for Surface Pro 4…

    • Surface pro 4 likely to be 2 x price

      • And that's excluding the keyboard….

  • Just got mine. Apparently it was too difficult and expensive to put some bubblewrap around the box before putting it in a courier envelope :/
    Hope it's all ok.

  • Cool. I'm picking mine up from the store. Let me know what you think of it?

    • +1

It's great, IMO. Good quality technology. Real bargain.

      • Picked up mine last night and installed Windows 10. Great quality. Keyboard is xcellent. A bargain for this price. Probably would have gotten xps13 is this was normal price though

        • how good is this t300 compare to surface 3?

  • +2

my girlfriend ordered one, pretty good price considering it's still on retail for over $1000 and $1200 in some places !

  • Keyboard is fantastic. 1/2 the price. Battery life is probably the drawback (and no full size usb port) for the price is better value imho

    • i just picked up my galaxy tab s2 9.7" today….

keyboard is good? thats so heavy and doesnt even provide extra battery….

      • +1

I think he/she meant the quality/how easy to type… Not really about extra functionalities.

  • Yeah I did. It's a great keyboard for typing

    • Can anyone recommend a carrying sleeve/case for T300?

      • the gf got one off ebay for about $16, haven't received it yet , will let u know what its like.

  • I just bought a Crumpler sleeve for Macbook Air 11 inch.

T300 is about 5 mm longer than the sleeve. Other than that, it is perfect. Best of all, its only $6.25 from Myer.

  • got the T300 today, it is small and light, good quality -

at Startup you have Windows 8.1 with 80 GB free on the HDD, so next question is to get a micro SD in there for storing media. Any specific types recommended or just go with generic Sandisk / whatever they sell at Officeworks?

pre-installed with some ASUS multimedia junk apps and McAffee, might uninstall those.
Running the upgrade to Windows 10 now as we speak.

    • Hey dude, I got it today and upgraded to win10..
It can't adjust brightness.. pls help

      • drag with your finger , on the screen, from the right hand edge into the center - you should see a touch-button setting for brightness

        • I found another issue.. it wouldn't charge to 100%…

it will stop charging at 98% or 99%.. is my computer faulty?

        • @kenmizuki: no, just relax, it charges til it has enough
