    wouldnt the 20% off first time customer thing work out cheaper for first time customers, especially since most shoes dont cost exactly 100 or 200 dollars

    but for those who've already used it, it's slightly better than the 10% off depending on the price of the shoes

    Or you could go in to Footlocker, get sized up for the shoe you're after and then take advantage of the strong AU dollar and purchase from a site like Wiggle.co.uk. I, only this week, purchased a pair of Brooks GTS 10 shoes from the UK. In Australian shops they are $219 (maybe $200 on special). I paid $117 delivered. I owe no one a living and will certainly not stand to be ripped off by local wholesalers and retailers. If you can wait a week for delivery it is the only way to go.

    This deal is not a negative but there are other options out there to get better deals so it is not a positive.

    What are some good, cheaper, reliable online retailers that ozbargainers would recommend?

    I was looking for some Nike runners and checked out www.esportsshoes.com, but haven't found any reviews on the credibility of the site. There are other sites selling cheap shoes as well compared to rrp, but then again, the production cost of shoes aren't high.

      The site I mentioned in my post, www.wiggle.co.uk, is very good. Super fast shipping and free postag for purchases over AUD$90. I ordered my shoes on Monday and I had a missed parcel delivery form Aust Post in the letter box yesterday which I am assuming is them.

    I have to agree with elguapo, shop around on-line and you will save a fortune. I have purchased from the U.S. version of footlocker and saved $150 AUD on just one transaction.
    Here is a current example:

    If more people are prepared to shop around and use their initiative a little, the Aussie retailers will eventually be forced to bring their prices down to a reasonable level.
