Can vouch for this router, really good if you are not on an ideal line.
For example… I'm on the boundary edge for my exchange. Telstra originally wouldn't connect me. Eventually got on with TPG. Tried a Billion 7800n… 3.2Mbs and drop outs. Slightly better results with an Archer D7 until it got fried in a storm. Picked this up and bumped up to 3.7Mbs (peak 4.2Mb/s) and no drop outs.
Lucky me the NBN is 2 streets away and I'm not even on any road map :(
Similar experience! But I went from a house with 20Mb cable to our new house with DSL pushing 3.5 at best!
Although this router obviously won't improve your DSL speeds, it certainly was a huge improvement in stability and Wi-Fi performance.But that's where our similarities stop as we had NBN come through a few weeks ago! ;)
Ouch … makes the $220 I shelled out for the 2900 seem exorbitant. As per the above it kills the D7 in range on 2.4g and 5g signals. Downsides is that I find web browsing on phones / tablets to be a bit slow and is not as easy to tweak as the D7.
