This is a really great deal for the zero people who still use a landline.

    • +5

My landline is unlimited, connect to my smartphone and I can call. Maybe appeal to certain ppl. Ta.

  • Better than this one? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Panasonic-Cordless-Phone-KX-PRS12…

edit: looking on Amazon UK, the basic Panasonic phones seem to get much better reviews than the fancy ones.

  • I have this 'phone, and it's actually pretty good. Battery doesn't last as long as the non-fancy sets but other than that it's good. Lots of neat features…..

    • Do you find the speaker too quiet? I have this phone too and even with the volume maxed out,I struggle to hear the other person

      • Ah. This may sound silly, but are you holding the handset so that the keypad is against your face? It seems more natural to have it pointing away, but if you do that the speaker is aimed away from your ear…..

        • Definitely with the keypad towards my face

        • @WaywardOne:

ok - well, then the volume I find on mine to be fine. Initially I thought it was low, but realised I was holding the handset so the speaker wasn't actually pointing at my ear! Can't say I use the landline all that much though - tends to be mainly my parents and telemarketers who call on it, and I use my mobile to make most calls (Boost unlimited).

        • @PlasticSpaceman:

Cool, thanks. Actually my parents own/use the phone, so I asked them how they hold the phone. It was "keypad towards face" orientation, however I'll keep an eye out how they actually use it next time.

    • I was about to buy this. How long the battery last? The feature says
Talk Time - Up to 11 hours
Standby Time - Up to 150 hours

      • Lasts ok, but nowhere near as long as my older Panasonic hand sets. It's fine if you remember to put it on the docking station every other day or two, or just leave it on there normally.

Thanks OP. Just bought one! Had my eyes set on this for a long time.

Can this be used as an additional handset ?

    • Yes. In my case I use it as the main base station and have my older Panasonic DECT handsets registered to it. I did this so I could take advantage of the app that lets me make/answer calls via the landline (not so handy) and check voicemail (definitely handy).

      • I already own this unit,so I was wondering if I buy this I will have 2 base units and 2 handsets and want to make one an additional handset,so that would work ? thanks

        • Yep. One base would effectively just be a charger.

        • @PlasticSpaceman:

Thanks,I bought it and have picked it up already and now it is set up.works great :)

  • no love for windows phone users…

  • Great phone if you have a need for a landline.
I paid >$90 for it - the app works well on my iphone
Shame my old cordless phones are uniden - would've loved to have tried to pair them to have additional handsets.

  • Been using our for a while. The phone keypad is shit.

The app works but only poorly. I bought it at full price six months ago. Wouldn't recommend it..

  • Unfortunately eBay didn't allow me to combine 15% off coupon and the previous $50 voucher together.
