        I am currently using a pair of Audio technica AD700x with a blue yeti, and they sound great (although them being open is a huge downside if you have a noisy environment). The Shure SRH 440's are another alternative (this time closed) that I have found is quite good for gaming.

        So I would personally recommend those two + maybe the Audio technica m50's (i've never used them for games but I imagine they would be fine + a nice all rounder for music). There are also some sennheiser models that I have no experience with, but generally come highly recommended (although may be pricy).

        These are just for the 200-250 range. See audiophile forums/subreddits for recommendations on even cheaper options that'll likely outperform most gaming headsets.
