No bargains specified, completely wasted my time. Doesn't even mention what products they sell. Rep, post example of a bargain price or buzz off with this pathetic discount. Spammer.

Ah, yes, Kathmandu, well known exporter of BPA free bottles and iPhone cases… really?

This store tries to make people think they sell Kathmandu products.

  • @erwinsie: As I have mentioned above how we eventually decided on the name, there's no intention of luring consumers cause we have nowhere mentioned it's kathmandu 'the brand' products..

Your shoe polish is still cheaper on Ebay, even after the 5% discount.

  • @joahua: We started the journey as selling few bags handmade in Kathmandu,Nepal (The capital city of the country) in Sydney, Australia (City of Australia), then extended to many more leather goods and to survive we also started to sell other stuffs, is that a crime?

  • @octagonalman: For this one I apologize, I am working on both the sites at the same time, You are right for the shoe polish, but for other products it might be expensive on the website cause, we are focusing on proper packaging and Delivery with "Tracking" For secure delivery- so the cost might be a bit high.. I will make sure you will get the best price for shoe polish..

  • In this case I do not consider 5% Off a bargain, and why such a long and compex code for such a small discount? - "0fd5efc2ff04-sef84t68" - Why not just use "5%OFF"?

No ABN or business information on the site. Only contact info. is a gmail address.

The terms and conditions of the "Refund/Return policy" would be in breach of Australian Consumer Protection Legislation.

This info. should be included on the web site:-

    • Hello There,
Yes, so I had a chat with you on my site. You went far beyond to search my recently registered company, its abn, details and after finding the right details and posted here, that's all - I wish I could assist with selling too. About the code it was self generated (Starting up entrepreneur here), Thank you all for your time, all these comments will surely help me to make the website better, I know am starting up, so there might be various encounters of mistake, but one thing that I would like to assure my buyers is that, it is genuine leather goods and made in kathmandu, Nepal, and the price for such quality of raw materials is quite good..

      • my recently registered company

So, now you have a company registered?

What is it, and why is it not in your About page?

        • He's a sole trader with registered business name, ABN 17 875 419 087 active since 19 Apr 2014, not registered for GST - so not a company, but at least has done the basics for a business.
(I should have read up the thread first… you've already written as much)

        • Please enjoy the discount.. Genuine Leather goods…

@sydneykathmandu: (edit: this made sense before you edited your comment) No worries, nothing wrong with starting from humble beginnings and building a business.

As an Australian business you are required to provide identifying information on things like your advertisements, website, and receipts.

It is important that customers know who they are dealing with. They give their personal information to you, they pay you money in advance for goods, and they want to know who to chase up in case of any problems. By not having that information, it just raises red flags that you may not be a legitimate business.

As far as discounts go, a 'discount' itself isn't a bargain. Eg, a 20% discount isn't a bargain if the products cost twice as much as elsewhere.

As a business, you should know what your competitors' prices are. Can you deliver any of your products cheaper than a customer can buy elsewhere in Australia, overseas, and eBay? If so, that's a bargain.

        • @Thrift: Thank You so much.. Yes, have updated the abn on the website and here you guys have done that for me. Actually you just read my mind because I was about to say that the greater the percentage doesn't always mean you are getting a bargain, and the lesser the percentage doesn't mean it's a bad one. So, here I have very much competitive price with others, additionally even the small discount makes it more appealing. One more thing, we need to consider different other factors as well, and one of them is the low Aussie $$ at this moment. Hope these info will give all my customers a broader idea..

As a follow up/on to what Thrift posted.

    OP - Welcome to OzBargain!

    • @A3Australia : I will do my best and thanks for your wish my friend..
