So they had a competition and $499 prize for describing a Shonky Award nominee, but the competition wasn't posted here on OzB?

OzBargainers too cheap to subscribe to Choice magazine to get notified about the competition?

  • What's wrong with Arnott's Tiny Teddies?

    Edit: Nvm found it

Arnott’s took the biscuit for creating its own “school canteen — meets amber guidelines” logo for Tiny Teddies.

      They're tinier then last year.

      • +1

Or maybe not tiny enough? False advertising if they are actually deemed small.

        Maybe you're getting bigger?

What universe is Kleenex in. Those "flushable" wipes are causing problems all over the world, not just Australia. I just have an old water bottle in the loo and put some water on the standard toilet paper. Works just as well and it is actually flushable.

I think NAB was a tad dudded on this. The standard credit card is 18-20% over a number of providers and there are a lot of other providers who have "low rate" credit cards at the same rate as NAB.

I always pay mine off at the end of the month.

Good financial advice - Pay off your credit cards and don't go for the Payday lenders.

      • You want to explain why you disapprove. (I had to look this one up, hadn't seen it before). It is cost effective, means I don't need a bidet, and cleans more effectively than dry paper.

        • Was just having a dig because it's unusual. I guess if you have strong TP and don't let it soak for to long you could be onto something…

        • @cymon: Without going into too much detail, we use Quilton and I don't soak it. It works and it doesn't destroy the city plumbing like the Kleenex stuff does. Maybe try a different emoticon next time. :)

          @try2bhelpful:
          ¯_(ツ)_/¯

        • @cymon: I can accept that one.

        • gosh defensive much?

        • @inasero: Not sure who that is aimed at but seems odd to come in on a conversation that is now weeks old.

        • Your comment strengthens my observation

        • @inasero: I would not call it an observation, more somebody who seems a tad obsessed your own hubris.

        • keep digging :)

        • @inasero: right back at you dude. We could go the verbal ping pong all day but I am bored with your little mind. Now I'm shutting you down. Byeee.

        • More like didn't know how to handle the truth. Okay you run along now and cry to mummy

      • Buy cheap toilet paper-get in touch with your inner self.

      • Using saliva works much better than water and wont cause 'breakthroughs' - I never go to the loo without some ;)

I don't really get the Coke one. Like they funded a group to encourage people exercise in lieu of changing their diets, but it's not like they're telling people that they way to Ryan Gosling's abs is at the bottom of a can of coke.

I think the claim that they have found the shonkiest products of the year deserves a shonky haha

The prediction for the 2016 Shonky would have to be Volkswagen.

    • haha agreed
