BURG Smartwatch $40 (down from $178) @ Big W

100

Saw this at Riverton (WA) BigW. Says as advertised but cannot find it on catalogue or website.
Good smart watch to have if you always want something different.
You can receive calls or read messages from Android or iPhones. It takes a SIM as well if you prefer to use it as a stand alone mobile. It has a micro USB slot that takes up to 16GB.

There were still 9 left as at 6pm today at Riverton

    It takes a SIM

    Only GSM 2G

  • Review is promising as are majority of the comments. Only thing is that the proprietary OS doesn't offer anything 'fitness' related.

Here are some reviews to help you decide.

Doesn't look too promising to me…

This is part of the dropzone, so YMMV store to store. The product is a huge POS though, and it seems that the company has more or less gone under. Their support lines are dead and their website is taken over by a domain squatter.

    • Hence the massive drop in price. From sjshitu's comment as well, it seems as though you may get a few month's use out of it before you're in trouble.
What can you expect from $40 though really?

  • Anyone seen it anywhere else available for sale i.e. in Melb?

  • Bought one… Don't know why… Off to return the junk now…what a way to begin the weekend

    • Off to return the junk now

Could you please elaborate on what's wrong? Is it faulty, not as advertised or just not worth $40?

Touch is slow, have to swipe and tap slowly. Imo it's not worth the $40. Can't really do much with it, haven't tried with a sim yet since I couldn't be bothered after turning it on. Don't waste your time hunting one down but if you must carnes hill nsw still had like 6 left when I grabbed one.

  • I have read alot of review's about the product, i got one for my self yesterday in Melbourne and tried connecting to my Android Cellphone using couple of gear Apps. None of the apps are working on the watch that means its a standalone device, you can simply connect it with your phone but it wont have any functionality. Any suggestions???
