    Wouldnt studying hard and using old fasion text books from the library be just as useful and for no cost?

      Probably but some kids wouldn't even know what a library does. This seems like a great solution for kids that want a extra little help. Plus I know that some Inis and TAFEs have pre-testing in maths to see where you need to start from and if you pass this exam you can get a credit or RPL in the basic maths hence saving the student upwards of $500 for a basic maths course.

      Ref: TAFE Teacher that sets "Skills Tests" to ensure capable students don't have to sit though basic (QLD YR12 Math B equivalent) engineering maths.
