I was thinking more along the lines of a better package not a cheaper price so much but thanks heaps anyway. I am not saying that the kit is cheap and nasty but I don't know where it rates in terms of quality. This high end shaving is new to me. If I am going to go down this path I would like to do it properly so I was asking about a higher end package kit. Still in the researching stage myself.

  • @lukeloop - I'm always happy to help. Please contact me through the store "Contact Us" page. I'd be more than happy to work something out for you, or can point you in the right direction :-)

I know it can be quite daunting when looking into getting wet shaving, so I'd be more than happy to point you in the right direction, even if it means you don't purchase from us.
There's nothing more a wet shaver enjoys than introducing people to it :-)

So how do your products differ from old school like Taylors etc which have a good rep.

    • They work.
      They support the local economy.
The owner actually uses his own product.

  • @blackwalnut - Good question. My products are all made by hand right here in Melbourne.

I only use quality vegan oils (and you may be thinking "Tallow soaps have a better reputation", but I have converted many a tallow loving person to my soaps.
I'm not one to toot my own horn, so please take a look on YouTube, type in "Shaver Heaven Review" or something of that nature, and you'll get some idea of what people are thinking of our products.

They are made in small batches of 22 soaps "per cook" to maintain quality.

All ingredients are sourced locally in Australia (even down to the tubs!).

Best of all, our products do not contain Parabens, SLS, preservatives or other nasties! Just good old fashioned soap :-) We also make our own Aftershave Balms and beard oils. We also offer other Wet Shaving products at prices that are cheaper than other big name online wet shaving stores. We are a family owned business so we believe in putting our customers first!

We are well known in the US, Canada, South Africa, UK and Slovenia, but are looking to boost our local audience.

  • Thanks for that I will check out some reviews. I think one of the best ways to covert people is with small sample packs where they can try without a long term commitment, I know that's why I use my current products one tub of which lasts ver a year, so hard to commit to change.

  • @blackwalnut - Totally understand! I wish I was the same. I have that many soaps, creams, etc to life me 3 lifetimes over! :-)
Sad, but it becomes an addiction of sorts lol..

Palmolive shave stick $2 at coles

  • @ShaverHeaven:
Good to see some Australian soaps popping up. Have been sourcing mine from the USA.

Are you able to advise which ones use essential oils only? (I develop burns/irritations with fragrance oil and would like to avoid them).

Had a look at the site and 'Spiced Mahogony', 'Dark Lavender' and 'Mayan Musk' look interesting.

  • @borealis - I still purchase some artisan soaps from the US, but with the dollar the way as it is at the moment, I've put that on hold.

Sure, we have "Vetiver" which is made using 100% Essential oils (however, its not everyone's ideal scent, most say it smells like "Peanut Butter").
Peppermint Plus - Is made using All essential oil blends.
And we have Unscented which is just straight up soap, no scents used.

The rest are all combinations of FO and EO.

Spiced Mahogany is quite popular (there are some YouTube reviews on it) and same with "Mayan Musk". Dark Lavender is also nice, but all comes down to personal preference :-)

    • Thanks for the response. Yes, the exchange rate doesn't help and the shipping from US at times could cost as much as the soap itself.

Not a big fan of Vetiver and Peppermint; I'll give the unscented a go. [Stock update: Spided Mahogany and Mayan Musk are out of stock]

Thanks again. Will keep an eye out for your future offerings too - especially the ones with only EOs.

  • How does a product qualify as "artisan"?

  • @Sir Casm:

    Artisan
    - a worker in a skilled trade, especially one that involves making things by hand.

All soaps are handmade from raw materials sourced locally.
There is no "automation" to the process, and products are only produced in small batches of 22 soaps per "cook".
