Mobile website. What the? Can anyone get it to work fine?

      Normal site in the link.

It keeps redirecting to the mobile site even after I request the full site. Absolute rubbish

    • You think it's bad now? Wait until you arrive at the gate.

Oh, I'd never fly Tiger, I just need to use it to search for price matching flights :P

          @tommyc: pantsonfire

        • is there a way to look for those? or you have to do it manually in both websites and find the ones with the exact same dept/arrive times?

    • I asked them about this on Facebook. The mobile site is confirmed borked on Android. This sucks. I cannot get it to go to the desktop site either despite checking Request Desktop site in chrome.

I bet it's sold out by the time I get home to my PC too. (profanity) Tiger.

      • Try using Firefox for android. I've found the request desktop function in Chrome to be useless for most websites.

Thanks TA, just managed to price match with Jetstar for Sydney to Melbourne return for 2 people. $54 each!

This lines up perfectly for my attendance at the Garlic Bread Appreciation Conference in Melbourne. Cheers!

  • Great price.

Nothing wrong with tiger. I've had good experiences.

You're lucky. They have been known to cancel flights and offer refunds day of departure. Not much use to you when you realize your $50 flight is going to cost you $200 booking same day on another airline.

    • Their customer service is definitely below Jetstar's though, and if the price difference isn't great (which it rarely is because of the price beat), I'd recommend Jetstar.

I've had a flight cancelled by Tiger and didn't even receive a call, so I showed up at the airport to find I was being put on a flight the next day. At least Jetstar offer a voucher, meals and accom when this happens. Tiger didn't offer anything and I had to claim through insurance for the event I missed.

but Sexpo is at least run every year, so you could go again the next year?

  • I'm having issues after filling out the price match form with Jetstar before getting to the online chat window.. It keeps coming up with 'ineligible' and it won't let me progress to chat to someone. Anybody else experiencing this problem? :\

    • Make sure you fill out everything

  • Thanks OP!

  • Thanks TA! Booked to Hobart in Jan, cheers.

Ps: sorry forgot to add, price beat with Jetstar for the first time, fairly straight forward. Yay!

Note that if you have a qantas frequent flyer card (qantas cash card) it doubles as a mastercard debit card - can use it to book Tiger flights with no fees.

  • Melbourne to Sydney $108 return for for 2 via Jetstar price beat. Thanks Ta

  • For the uninitiated, how do I go about the price beat process ?

    • +2

Call Jetstar or open a chat session with them. All terms are in the link in the post description.

      • I haven't called them lately, but it now says the only way to price beat is online

        • It does say that (and has for a while now) but you can still call them. Maybe say you don't have a PC.

  • Thanks TA, flights booked via Jetstar price beat :)

  • Thank you. Pricebat with Jetstar. Two people return BNE to SYD for $108. Very happy.

  • Had Jetstar offering a price over the chat and 2 minutes later they changed it saying it was made by mistake not allowing me to book it. Can they do that? Offer total price and change their mind in next 2 minutes?

  • Just a quick question on the jetstar price beat. What are the hours of operation for the online people? I wanted to do this later tonight or over the weekend.

  • Do Virgin or Qantas price match?
