    any help???

    • Maybe just upload it to an image/file host, i.e. image shack and then post the link here. (or in the OP)

  • i tried using frogy or something like that which is image hosting site and it told me cannot be done and to contact admin so trying to contact admin now.

  • imageshack?

    • yeah thats the site i used.

      • You can use the Ozbargain uploader,
        http://upload.ozbargain.com/

        Then post the URL here.

        • yeah i tried that but it takes me to a blank screen then nothing happens…. although it might be my file size cause i can upload other stuff on there…. will try and make the file smaller….

        • "Cannot change URL to a different domain than ozbargain.com. If it really needs to be done, please contact a moderator."

          What do I do here?

This is the URL that uploader gave me from ozbargain.

    • ummm from memory this was the only thing that really stood out….

everything else i think was pretty much as per normal…

other then the deal that is mentioned previously.

      http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/21565

Although not sure if its Full HD

  • "Dynamic Contrast Ratio High"
    oooo high. that's good.

I was also at jb-hifi, saw tekken 6 for $49 for xbox 360.
    Post worthy?

    • Contrast Ratio 70,000:1

this is from a non samsung site dont know if its right or wrong.

  • good price much better deal than that soniq offered

  • Sounds great price

  • Woah that's a good price… I want the biggest/best screen I can get for $800, for my bedroom (already have a 46" Sony in the home theatre room, a 40" Samsung in the family room)…. a 37" or 40" in the bedroom would be awesome, if I can get a good one for $800 (told myself I shouldn't spend more than that!)

  • I have this exact TV and I bought it for like 1,700 2 years ago. If you play a lot of games, you'll notice the lack of the motion flow thingy.. You know the 100Hz, 200Hz thing. It's very obvious sometimes and its kinda annoying especially when you play on the 360 and PS3.

But the TV is awesome looking and everything is awesome (HDTV, movies and everything) except the gaming thing. BUT, I don't know if this could be resolved with another HDMI cable. I have one of those 10-dollar HDMI cables for both the PS3 and Xbox 360 (but different manufacturers) and unsure if changing the cables will change this.

    Any thoughts anyone?

I thought it was the Motion Plus that caused the problems with gaming on the Samsungs, ie it tries to add extra frames in when they aren't needed. Can you disable that mode?

The HDMI cable won't make a difference.

      • I dont think my tv has the motion flow at all… And i thought maybe thats why… It doesn't happen with all games but it happens with quite a few when there's a lot of stuff happening… And its quite jittery or shaky… If its not the cable, then i dont know what else it could be because my friend has one of those AWA or Soniq TVs without the motion flow and the same thing does not happen to him with the same game.

        Anything else i should check?

        • +1

Check in the menus…you should be able to turn off motion plus/flow. Also, turn off all enhancements like noise reduction, etc to rule them out. You don't want the panel to do any "extra" processing on the picture coming from the console.

          • @ShortyX: I'll check that out tomorrow. I do have some stuff like Edge Enhancement or something turned on, I'll switch it off and check that. Thanks a lot Stix!

            • +1

@ragflan: No worries…let me know how you go. I personally don't own a Samsung but my mate does and I've seen a few jitters on it while playing games. It'd be good to fix it up for him as well. :)

        • Won't be called Motion Plus (that's the 100Hz name) - look for something called Movie Plus.

  • Hi there - checked JB HIFI website;

Samsung LA46B550K1F 46" Full HD LCD TV is marked at $1896 with the comment "Sorry, this product is not currently available for purchase" So I hope you are not getting a floor stock.. still a good deal!

Checked your docket - you have payment of $956 owing on a payment of $1196 which is allright . I am very happy with my lower model LA40B750
and I paid $2000 four months ago in JB NRyde.

    Well done!!

    • Hi

I specifically asked if it was floor stock and he told me no and i checked to see if there was the Demo TV was still there and it was.

He also told me that there were more.

Not sure exactly how many but yeah he said he had more.

Also the payment I have owing is the one i paid the deposit for cause the TV was my dad's and he said he would pay the rest. This has been paid and the TV has been brought home already :)

      • That's excellent deal.. and what I meant about payment was there was no interest charged. Great deal , enjoy!

    • +2

The 40B750 is not a lower end model, it's a much better TV. The best Samsung LCD (non-LED backlit) you can buy.

      • Thks - I was going by the size 40 " vs 46" - Is there a production series clue in the product name and if so - what do you look for?

  • good deal, but keep in mind that these are last year's models and the 2010 models have just started to be released (i just saw the 2010 sony models at a sony centre the other day… nice!)

  • hey what do they look like? r they 3d?

    • yes..they are 3d….

      • ??

  • I'm confused, can someone confirm that I can walk in and get this deal or not (without haggling)? Let me rephrase, is this ticket price/?

    • +1

This was the ticketed price at Castle Hill JB Hifi.

He wouldnt add anything onto the tv (no extended warranty). Had to purchase that seperately.

      • Thanks for clearing that up

  • where's castle hill jb hifi?

    • +1

      Address
      Cnr Showground & Victoria Rds,
      Castle Hill, 2154 NSW

Its near Castle Hill Tavern if you know where that is.
Inside a place called "Supa Centa Castle Hill" I think or something similar.

  • -1

Called Castle Hill. They said price was an error. Should have been $1598. Won't sell for $1198. No more bargain!

    • Really??

Was thinking it was very cheap…..

Ah well guess its not that price anymore.

  • RRP on this is $2,199 so you got a great deal.

  • hey guys, just bought 2 of this today from JB HIfi Narren warren in melbourne…. thanks again for sharing this bargain…..!!! Enjoying…..

  • I rang Castle Hill too - and yep they won't do that price.
Having said that, i've found a good online store in Perth - www.webprice.com.au - they have the tv for $1240.
I've ordered a few days ago and am expecting delivery on Monday. ($63 delivery to Sydney).

Lucky for those who were in JB Hi Fi Castle hill at the time of the wrong price!!!

  • I tried this over the weekend but had no luck either - well done to Solar for getting it. It seems the best deal is the webprice.com.au, especially if you are in Melbourne.

Btw I could not find this model in HN, DSE, Myer or DJ. It seems JB is one of the few that stocks it.

I ended up getting it from JB for $1275 as I wanted to use the gift card I got before Xmas.

    • Did this end up being a good tv austrider?!

      • I'm not a AV expert so I can only compare it with my other TV (Pioneer 507, plasma, NOT full HD):

        • sammy's ability to scale non-HD content (eg some free2air) is not as good,
        • sammy's too bright (LCD?) - I turned down the dynamic, contrast and increased the black level pretty much immediately
        • HD content (eg BD) it's not too bad. Again black level not as good

I guess you get what you pay for. If your budget allows I'd prob. suggest having a closer look at the Sharp 46" as it seems to handle those points better in the shop.
