The z906 doesn't let you control the treble or mid range, only the bass control.
Apart from that they are great speakers for the price.
They have dual optical inputs which is good.
I can't see how to get the z906 for $260 +1, the cart only works with giveme20, $299 - $20 = 279.00

They sound fantastic however bear in mind they don't have bluetooth or hdmi so I recommend buying a logitech bluetooth adapter.
I own these speakers and use them on a daily basis. They are great sounding and built to last. I paid around this price for them too.

It's extra value loaded on to the card, at time of purchase. So there's nothing special/difficult about the card. It's a standard payment method.
I've got a logitech Z506 - will I notice much difference in the sound if I upgrade to the Z906? Is volume the only difference in sound? (I know it has more inputs and a controller, but I don't need those features).
I own both of these speaker systems and imho the z906 are huge upgrade from the Z506's

Good for the price if you need surround and bass.
If you're used to high quality hi-fi/monitor speakers obviously don't expect much. Going back to my logitech's after using some KRK monitors was a shock (my ears got spoiled I think)

I find the Z5500's were the only filler, and they're GONE.
The led back light has gone on my z5500… I hear it's quite common :{

Only problem… I got it for Dad.
By the time I actually needed one, no longer made.
This happened to my unit as well so I just emailed Logitech customer support and they sent me a new one free of charge even though the speakers were well out of warranty. Pretty helpful and were quick to reply to all my emails

I don't really care that much… It sucks and all but the lights been out for about 2 years now and the system is at least 5 years old. II hope the next generation has HDMI, even if its just lpcm
Just the head unit, it's a new variation of it I think. The original head unit I had when I purchased it new had a blue back light and the new revised one they sent me has a white back light. Seemed in too good condition to throw away when my head unit died so I thought I would give it a go by emailing them.
