ALDI Whisky Sale - E.g. Auchentoshan for $49 - Buy 2 Get 5% off One Day Only (Eastern States)

140

Looks like they have developed a new scotch landing page and to kick it off are offering 5% off their usually pretty good prices.

I can't go through and find the best deals until after work today, but the whisky in the link is currently $62 at DM which suggests there are some deals to be had.

5% gets applied when you add more than one whisky to your cart.

Get 5% off One Day Only

    72 minutes off then?

Have to agree; I'm not a connoisseur by any means, but there's definitely better options out there for my dollar.

      • The caol ila is a decent buy for peat lovers at 85 bucks. Though it seems DM's has already matched it.

    More Whisky, more risky.

  • Probably only worth it if you get free shipping (need to buy more than $200 worth). Otherwise for me shipping is $6.99. Some good deals though:

    • Lagavulin 16 years is $69.99 each ($66.50 after 5% discount; DM $83.90)
    • Talisker 10 years is $65.99 each ($62.70 after 5% discount; DM $73.95)

Some Johnnie Walker stuff in there that DM's doesn't stock either if you're inclined that way.

      Lagavulin is $79.99.

    • Dan is matching most of them with a few cents each cheaper, except Lagavulin 16, Talisker 10 and Laphroaig 18. which are my favourites for now. Dam Dan!
however, by using the 5% off GC, plus 6% cashback, will still be cheaper than ALDI. I'd get a Laphroaig Triple Wood Scotch Whisky 700mL from Dan and which Glenfarclas is better value? 21yo at $160, 105 $120, 15yo or 12yo both $100 at DM price matched ALDI.
ps. ALDI has Lagavulin 16 years at $79.99, not $69.99.

    • If you like peaty stuff and are willing to kick it up a notch, I would recommend:

      • Caol ila 12 $84.99 ($80.75 after 5%, RRP $99)
      • Laphroaig 18 $149.99 ($142.50 afer 5%, RRP $180)

      Both really worth your while.

Having said that.. it doesn't seem like the 5% discount is being applied

@simulacrum: not sure why neg, I just up voted you.
by the way the discount is very strange, seems to work only when you have 2 identical bottles…

@simulacrum: I am just reading this and noticed I seem to have negged you….very sorry must have been a fat thumb whilst browsing on my phone. Your comment above definitely deserves a "+"

          @aim54x: no probs :)

  • Highland Earl at $30 is actually pretty decent. I'd almost grab a couple of them.

  • which Glenfarclas is better value? 21yo at $160, 105 $120, 15yo or 12yo both $100 at DM price matched ALDI.

    • +1

Best value is probably the 15yo. I've tried the 25 and have a bottle of 15yo. It's a bit of a sherry monster, but it feels like an old-school scotch - one thing I love about it is this wonderful wood sour note in amongst the usual tastes/smells. A bit of sherry salinity too. It's not a prettied-up double matured new presentation - just whisky in sherry cask like it used to be. Yum.

  • Good price for Auchentoshan, best I have seen this year is $49.95 at Dan's before Father's day.

  • Bowmore 12 is quite decently priced @$64 when you consider that the replacement NAS bottlings are around the same price.

  • can we purcahse these instore aswell?
