      Seiko are a hard one locally to get on a discount! Their planning and buying section make sure they never have any excess stock to offer.           I didn't have any adverse skin reactions to stainless steel watches in the past, so this didn't really factor in to it for me.

        Yes you are right - the main reason I like it is the weight - it feels lighter than it should (compared to a stainless steel watch). Apart from that, it doesn't scratch as easily as my previous steel watch. I prefer the colour of the steel as well - it is a darker colour compared to stainless steel.

        Yes that's a nice one. The watch I have at the moment has a rotating bezel which I find pretty handy and gives it more of a sporty appearance.

      Depends what matters to you. The strap and crystal face can be made of different materials, which have different levels of strength and hardness.

      Another factor for you may be what level of water resistance the watch provides. The AW1260 is rated at 50m (take note this does NOT mean you can take it scuba diving to depths of 50m), which would not be suitable for snorkelling or water sports. A rating of 100m would be fine for such activities, but not for diving. A 200m rating would be required for diving. Personally I target the 100m rating so I can wear the watch in the water during snorkelling or water sports.

        Not a rep, but all the Eco-Drives sold by StarBuy come with Citizen Australia's five year limited warranty valid from the date of purchase, and include one year International Guarantee.

        What does your warranty include?
        If the watch exhibits a defect in workmanship or material that is not a major failure, Citizen will, at its option, either regulate, adjust, repair, or replace the movement, as necessary within a reasonable time after the watch is returned during the warranty period.

        Citizen recommend Eco-Drives are sent to a Citizen-authorised service centres for service and repair.

          Thanks. The black version of this was costing us a LOT more than $99. We have asked Citizen to have a look at that for us but I dont expect them to move. Accounts have picked up 3 fraudulent transactions so far. We are waiting to hear back from those customers. If we dont, their orders will be cancelled and the excess stock listed back here tomorrow.       These are a lot more dependable than a smartphone for telling time - working underwater, through sand, mud and dirt, and for months away without a recharge. Maybe a smartphone works fine for you, but many people like watches for all sorts of reasons.

      Typically no, they will just work like a normal watch without the ability to re-sync the time every night. There is no time signal transmission tower in Australia. Some people on the east coast (Bris, Syd, Melb) have reported getting sync, which must be coming from all the way from China or Japan, but these people are the lucky minority. Australian government has no plans to implement a time signal broadcast in the foreseeable future.

      Japan, England and the US broadcast a time signal on 60khz. We receive these signals under certain atmospheric conditions, but it's not reliable.

      You can generate your own time signal using your computer (there may also be smartphone apps).

      I've bought seven watches from Star Jewels/StarBuy OzBargain deals. Each watch has come extremely well packaged protecting the pristine product box, pristine cylindrical display box, spotless watch complete with tags, and unmarked documentation. Other OzBargainers will no doubt have similar experience.

      This is in contrast to the 'sale special' Citizen watch I bought online from a different Australian retailer: the box edges were crushed, the watch was covered in fingerprints and dust, the cylindrical display box was scuffed, and not only were the manual pages creased, it was the wrong manual! Obviously ex-display (or possibly a return), and they didn't even make the effort to make it presentable :(

          I haven't picked up from their office. My shipping times were from 3 days (on the less popular deals) to 6 days after order, and then 3 working days with AusPost.

          You also get a bunch of AusPost tracking emails to let you know when they get it, when they expect to deliver, the morning of actual delivery (in my case it's usually the day before the expected delivery date), and finally after they've delivered.

          As a brand-new OzBargain user you won't be able to send Star Jewels a PM, but email them at [email protected] to check on your order, they're really helpful.

      $429.00 isn't cheap enough?

      Looks like the next cheapest price is A$669! (There is cheaper for a grey import at $571, but you probably wouldn't want to risk that retailer, and it's still more expensive than the StarBuy Australian-stock price).

      Their click'n'collect is from their store in Sydney.
