+1 for awesome deal and awesome rep. Good job.

Bought one to add to my collection. :)

  • AP4031-54L still shows as sold out :(

    • All sold. We have not been able to locate a single extra one as yet I'm afraid!

      • Ok no cancellations because of fake orders?

        • Not so far! Hopefully some may clear but nothing as yet.

  • Sold Out of the Citizen Eco-Drive AP4031-54L. How unfortunate.

  • Hey rep,

how much was this one? Seiko SGEH17P
    can you get more?

just bought a promaster air. awesome prices for local 5 years warranty. =]

    • @ChronoTrigger: Hi. It was $139 and unfortunately all sold out. None expected in.

      • I asked earlier about measurements, when you get a second could you take a look at my comments please. I understand there is a lot posted so hard to keep up with it all. Thank you.

        • how about citizen bj7010 series?
          any stock?

        • @ChronoTrigger: Hello. Sorry for the delay but no. The BJ7010 is a retired model and has not been in Australia for almost 2 years now. Shame as its a great look. Thanks

        • Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. All the StarDeal stock is in the warehouse and the guys have been flat chat collating and getting the orders ready for shipping. I will head off to the warehouse around 6pm and will post here after measuring the glass only dimensions. Thanks

        • @Star Jewels: Thank you.

        • @Star Jewels:
No need for the sizes now as I picked up the other deal. Thank you.

        • @ynotrekab: Thanks.

Thanks - Great deal - bought the CA4010-58A which I think is the best deal of the lot (if you like the design)

    • Top range power reserve (9 months)
    • Titanium
    • Sapphire Crystal
    • 76% off (I think that's one of the highest discounts to RRP?)
    • Nice choice. It makes me wish I held off buying the CA4034-50A for $139 at the end of last month - still, I'm very happy with the watch.

    • Yeah I got the same one yesterday, awesome specs for the price. My only concern is the silver hands on a silver face, but we'll see how it goes.

    • It looks this one is the second best bestseller so far, could end up to be the top one. Very good for office and everyday formal wear. I checked the specs on another site, they weigh 109g, should feel light on your hand.
I got another two for different settings - outdoors/sports + smart casual. At these price levels, gotta gorge yourself on this deal :).

    • Thanks Cozdog, I bought based off your analysis with minutes to spare…

I bought one from them a few months ago. It's a great watch and is now my daily wear.

  • hey rep,
whats the difference between the Citizen Altichron BN4026-09F and the E
    thanks

    • +1

Just the highlight colour: BN4021-02E (naked titanium), BN4026-09E (dark gray with yellow bezel), BN4026-09F (dark gray with orange bezel)

There's a good write up on A Blog to Watch

    • Hello. Thats absolutely correct. Just the colour. No difference whatsoever in functionality. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Thanks

  • Hi Rep, do you have any of this CA0469-59E but in titanium and sapphire glass? Willing to pay more. Thanks
    http://www.starbuy.com.au/citizen-mens-eco-drive-watch-ca046…

    • Hello. Sorry for the delay. This model is not made with Sapphire glass. There is not a similar model in the Citizen range with Sapphire glass that I can even recommend. Thanks

  • Hi Rep,

You have any "citizen eco drive chronograph couple model" or "Chronograph couple gold model" please?

    Thanks,

    • Hi. Sorry for the delay. In the Citizen pairs, there is nothing in ladies chronograph. Lots of 3 hand watches but not a single chronograph. Thanks

      • Thanks for reply. Is that any thing in couple-echo drive or couple watches in golden?

CITIZEN Couple Pair Titanium Watches Black CA0021-53E

  • Can you do anything with the price of this watch please? Was just looking at this one at the local shops.

Not a lot of stock left in this. Can get it down to $265 for you. Star Jewels purchase so it will be free shipping as well. http://www.starjewels.com.au/citizen-mens-titanium-chronogra…

      • +1

        Thank you, just purchased.

      • Anything you can do on the price of the AW1400-52L? It's not part of the current StarDeals.

        • Nothing on that one I'm sorry. Not enough stock on hand. Thanks

  • Sorry guys. Posting the MTG-S1000D-1A link here as per request. http://www.starbuy.com.au/g-shock-twisted-metal-mtg-series-m… . Thanks

  • Hi Rep,

Citizen Ladies Eco-Drive EM0187-57W is available?

    Why I can't find search option in http://www.starbuy.com.au ?

    Thanks,

    • Hi. That model is not available on StarBuy. We are currently working on a search function and hope to have it up around Christmas. Thanks

  • Clearly this has been a massive success for you guys. Well done.

Given the success, how soon can we expect to receive our watches? I ordered yesterday and chose Express post but I'm in Perth 6064.

    • Hello. It certainly has. We have asked for 7 working days roughly as the processing and shipping period. By the looks of things, we will be able to ship around 120 - 150 StarDeal orders everyday till completed. Thanks

      • Any chance of an update on progress? Mine has been 7 days now but still shows as processing.

        • Thanks. Its 7 working days but can you PM us your order number so we can have a look for you.

        • Thanks for the lightning quick response. PM sent.

  • Hi Rep,

Is that possible to filter all ladies watches?

    • Hi. Please go to the category page and choose 'REFINE'. You can then choose the Gender type 'Female' from there. Thanks

  • Hi rep, are you participating in "AMEX Shop Small" ? I know Starjewels did participate last time.
    Can you please confirm?

Edit: nevermind rep, i checked, your store is participating. woo hoo!

  • Rep, I had no chance to check at 10am, I am guessing no Bulovas? :)

  • Purchased CA4010-58A Super Titanium, easily the best feature set for the price and well worth the difference over the $99 models. I was hoping CA0021 would be on sale, as it is similar but I prefer the look, but I think that ship sailed long ago.

    • The nearest alternative to the CA0021 is the CA0550-52L in the StarDeals, but that one is $299

      • Yeah ca0550 has bit too much going on looks wise for me, though it looks better on youtube than in static images.

        • Is there a black dial version the CA4010-58A? i like the black better

        • @hpkv: Yes ca4010-58e is black but not on offer from Starbuy. For reference A at end is generally white, E is black, L is Blue.

  • Hi Rep,

Do you happen to have either of the following 2 watches in stock?
    Satellite Wave F100 - CC2006-61E
    Limited Edition Satellite Wave F900 - CC9005-58E

    Thanks for your help,

    • Hello CC2006-61E, we have 4 in stock currently. CC9005-58E is not showing up so may not be an Australian release. Thanks

  • I bought some global knives off star buy- was very happy with service, so bought a lovely watch on the back off that.
Any idea about pick up times? I ordered on Wednesday and work in Sydney CBD

    • +1

Thank you. We are working furiously to get the orders sorted. We will continue invoicing & packing over the weekend and hope to have all ready for pick up by Tuesday or Wednesday at the very latest.

  • +2

    I don't believe it.
Just spent more on a watch than i have spent altogether on watches previously.

This better bring a little consumer happiness to my otherwise squalid life…

  • Hi Rep. I have 2 watches in my cart and the total is $298 before postage. I see that you have agreed previously to change the amount slightly for a fellow ozbargainer for TRS claim. Can you please do the same for me?

    Thanks

    • +1

Thanks Samia. Please check your messages.

    • The watches are lovely! Look and feel is even better than I expected. Customer service was excellent too. Got the ladies Eco Drive Diamond EM0030-59A and the EM0005-56A as presents and now wish I had bought one for myself too :/ Would buy again.
      Thanks Rep

  • Can i buy a starbuy watch direct from the store and use amex shop small?

    • Hello. Our office is not really set up for retail but you are welcome to come in with an appointment. Re the Amex program, I will have to check if we have been registered for it on Monday. Thanks

  • Hey look, what i would normally have identified as the second hand in the CA4010-58A isn't, it's a stop-watchy hand according to this.

I imagine many here knew that.
    I didn't.

    • +2

This is actually a standard chronograph feature, it's easier to read the fractions of a second on the big dial.

The sweep-second hand is the timing hand, the real-time second hand is on the 6 o'clock subdial. This watch also features flyback, where the second hand quickly glides back to the 12 o'clock position when reset.

('Sweep-second' means the second hand is mounted on the main dial rather than a subdial, not 'apparently smooth sweeping motion'.)

Of course, some watches do it different. My Edifice uses the 6 o'clock subdial for timing seconds.

      • Thanks - I very obviously have a digital watch history.
        Until now…

      • +1

How the hell did i get this far in life without knowing this?

I bought a watch without knowing wtf it did.
        Unusual…

  • Hey rep, no biggie if I can't, but is it possible to change my order from the BU4000-50E to the CA4010-58A and send me a paypal invoice with the difference or something? You can thank the fellow a few comments above for making me change my mind haha

    • +1

That should not be a problem. We will have to cancel and refund your order and then you can place an order for the item you are after. Please PM us your order number and we can take care of this. Thanks

      • +1

Great thanks! Will do now. Great service! :)

        • +1

Excellent choice. I've given up resisting and just bought one too.

I also got luke73's favourite, a Promaster BM6401-07E for my dad. I recently bought him a nice sleek Longines, but found out he never wears it because his eyes have trouble discerning the time and he doesn't want to scratch it. I don't think he'll be able to miss the jumbo lume numbers on the BM6401!

        • +3

@Thrift: so many nice watches, so little money :(

        • +1

@Thrift: Wearing it now, looks way better in the flesh.
Not a massive watch but if you like a nice clean understated design with Citizen quality then at $139.00 delivered, it's a bargain. I paid about $8.00 more.
          Great lume also.
          Some better shots here

        • +1

@luke73: @luke73: Thanks. The product shots typically don't do the watches justice - like mugshots, the flat sterile lighting robs them of their character. Which is the point I guess, they aren't meant to be beauty shots.

Is the lug width 20 or 22mm? I'd read on WUS that people were putting 22mm straps on, however I just noticed that StarBuy's description states 20mm.

I was looking to stick my CA4034-50A's 22mm bracelet on it… hmm, maybe I should have ordered the bracelet version to be safe. If it doesn't fit I'll keep it for myself and order the 58E :)

        • +1

Starbuy is right, it's 20mm. The canvas strap is nice anyway, it has rivets on the adjustable strap holes.

        • @luke73: Cheers, I've just ordered the bracelet version. I'll keep the strap version for myself :)

  • For those with an advanced watch fetish, and an associated penchant for "Executive Style" wankery.

  • +3

Just picked mine up. Looks fantastic. Awesome customer service

  • REP do you have this in stock? Citizen Eco Drive AW0015-08E

    • Sorry. All sold out. Thanks

  • I reckon the AP4031-03E looks pretty good.

    Am i the only one?

I think i've developed a hardcore watch obsession in just under a week…

    • You're not the only one. It looks great in orange.

      • Don't understand why folk were going off their nut for the blue.

Like a chick i know said when i sent her the link: "I like it though - the colour pops".
        It pops alright baby…

  • -3

Is this an import hence the 7 days!?

    • Given Citizen don't make the watches in Australia, yes they are imported - by Citizen Australia.

      • -4

Unless you are now the store rep…

        • Unless what? You think seven days is excessive? They tell you upfront, so if it doesn't suit you can go buy elsewhere.

They undoubtedly have a lot of orders to process and prepare, it's not just OzBargain orders. And it's not like they're only plopping boxes in an AusPost satchel and cramming them in the postbox.

    • Hello. With the number of orders it is indeed going to take close to the 7 working days from order date to get the stock out. Each watch has to be checked and is shipped to us in bulk so has to be packed individually. We want to have the orders out asap as well so are working on getting this happening. Thanks

  • Hi rep, any update on orders? I put mine in last Thursday just looking to pick it up in your store soon if possible.

    • Hi. Could you please PM us your order number so I can check your exact order. Thanks

      • Hi, will do, thanks.

  • Hi Rep,
Do you have any CC1054-56E in stock?

  • Guys I have a question, some eco-drive models state it can hold power for 7 months… is that actually true? I read somewhere that if you dont wear it regularly, say wear it once a month and if the watch is stored away from light then it may stop working?

    • +2

They have a rechargeable battery inside that is charged by solar cells in the watch dial. Fully charged it will run for many months whilst stored away.

To recharge the battery it needs to be exposed to light. If you store it in a drawer and wear it under a sleeve or at night, it won't get charged.

Direct sunlight provides the most power, but 8 hours under indoor lights a couple of days a month will give it a good charge.

If you don't wear it much, you can pop it on a sunny window sill for a day to charge it up, then store it away for months.

  • The strap of CA4010-58A is too long for me.

How can I adjust it? Can I just ask someone at any store which sells Citizen watch to adjust it for free?

    Thanks.

    • Thanks. Please refer to the reply sent via e mail.

      • Any chance you can publish it here, or provide a link?
Quite a few of us bought the Titanium CA4010-58A.
