      The devs turned into money hungry asses and made it b2w in some areas. They also stopped supporting it. I remember they'd bring out an "op" weapon and then days later nerf it so whoever purchased it was shit out of luck with their newly underpowered weapon.

      They constantly brought out new weapons (that you buy with real money) that were flat out better than the rest of them and after a week or two they would nerf it. Lots of people wasted money on guns that became worse than the rest of them after the nerf. After awhile of running the game they dropped the price of buying every gun from the previously around $160 by making a pack of every gun in the game for $15. They then stopped updating the game and abandoned it completely to instead focus on SMITE.

    Ascend has always been free on Steam, too bad the devs abandoned it for Smite.
