110

Telstra is having their $30 prepaid sim kit for $15.

Easier than going to different coles I guess.

  • this deal has been out for a while

  • I got 10 packs for $10 each on Saturday from Coles

    • which coles?

      • Gladstone, Regional QLD.

  • Telstra deal online only & posts to your address - not available in store (I tried)

Re Coles, I bought one from Salamander Bay last Tues

  • I tried using a Telstra $30 starter pack (from the last $10 deal at coles) as Google Play credits, didn't work. spent a few hours with their 24/7 chat but they couldn't resolve it. won't be buying up these offers anymore :(

    • Same, it doesnt work for me to purchase in google play.

It is said that something went wrong. Called telstra and they cant solve it

    • I have activated heaps of SMS. If it is coming up something like "the user can not be found" when trying to check out, only Te seems to solve it.

I normally activate then wait 24 hours to try and use it. Sometimes I need to wait 72 hours, sometimes it can be used immediately.

      • The option Enable Telstra Billing doesn't even pop up. As if Google can't detect Telstra Sim…

        • That's really odd as it's not telstra that do that part of it. Have you had it working before? If not, what model phone do you have? It may not be supported.

If you have had it working before goto https://wallet.google.com/manage, then payment methods and make sure it's not overrun with Telstra billing profiles, you can only have so many active at a time.

        • I've had a problem before with a Google account which had USA as the country gave me an error when I tried to use carrier billing. I tried another account and BOOM! It worked fine. Some purchases fail when you've done multiple in a short period, but usually just trying again works (think it gives you a message like "Your Telstra was declined").

  • If people are in the market for an iphone6s+ 128gb, it is now CHEAPER to just go on a plan with Telstra. Looks like my monthly porting in and out days with Telstra and Voda are coming to an end. :( I really enjoyed hunting those $10 Sim card specials.

  • I ordered 3 last time this came up, after I received a tracking number the orders were cancelled, clicking on the tracking number I could see that there was a request for return to sender. I only received a refund for one of the purchases and every two weeks I'm on 24/7 chat with telstra trying to hunt down the $30 they stole for me for no god damn reason.

    • I ordered ONE last time and after a month had passed, I had to chase them up only to be told that my order had been cancelled without notice. They then told me I would have to go into one of their stores to give them more ID even though I had given them everything they requested online and the ordered had gone through (approved). I then spend hours on the phone being bounced around trying to get my money back because their chat doesn't deal with money and the phone people seemed to be clueless about their online store. It was only after I said I would make an official complaint that I finally got my money back but not before they sent a courier to my house to get back the item that I had never received. sigh.

      • I had the same issue with the cashrewards offer and I had to file a case with the TIO then they refunded me by bank transfer, Good thing is I still got the $10 cash back for each one a few months later.

Same here, I bought 2 at the start of august, order was cancelled without any reason. When I rang up they wanted me to go into a store and provide 3 forms of id plus proof of wages and rates notice. And this was just so they could think about giving me my order. For a pre-paid mobile which I'd already paid for and provided id for.
I also filed a case with the TIO and even though I've been promised a refund on multiple occasions (for over 2 months now) I'm still waiting for a refund. It's apparently in the mail.
I have since been into coles and bought one for $10.. Took all of 5mins. I highly recommend that people think twice before purchasing from telstra's online store.
