LG 55" 'wallpaper' TV Display under 1mm Thick

The 55-inch OLED (organic light-emitting diode) display weighs 1.9 kilograms and is less than a millimeter thick. Thanks to a magnetic mat that sits behind it on the wall, the TV can be stuck to a wall. To remove the display from the wall, you peel the screen off the mat.

Just reading a magazine and noticed an article on this new prototype led display from LG. I know the article is from May but I haven't seen any discussion in the forums.

  • Soon enough stealing a whole TV will be as easy as throwing it in your backpack!

      U got a 55" backpack? I hope it's a windy day ;)

  • just need to hide the cables, power and control box somehow.

    impressive though.

I wonder if it could be powered wirelessly from its magnetic base?

The cables ect could be eliminated by a wireless receiver coupled with the tv.

      • The receiver would still be a box though, not built into the 1mm thick screen.

        • Yes but separate and hidable ;)
